Bermonds Locke, Tower Bridge

I traveled with 2 elderly parents at this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is at a great location to walk to london bridge and walk along the river! It was very quiet and peaceful, we had really good night sleep. Staff was friendly and very accommodating and the room had all of the things we needed. Perfect stay, I would stay here again if I visit london again. Thank you

The A/C unit wasn't working in my room (room 622). After trying to reboot the A/C and setting a temperature, it still didn't work. I'm talking about 30°, extremely stuffy, sealed windows. I went to enquire about the A/C unit and was told that I could get a refund - apparently there were no other rooms available (which isn't what the internet said). It was late at night, I really had no options here. Worst sleep i've ever had. The day after they said they'd send maintenance up. I later got a phone call that I can change room - It really started to sense to me that it was known the AC unit was broken here throughout each encounter. It was horrendous. When I got back I was moved to a new room which was a lot smaller. I'd expect a lot more from a hotel that refers to themselves as four star.

Very nice hotel and about a 15 minute walk from London Bridge Train Station.

This property was relatively convenient to get it things by bus, but the immediate area was pretty boring. It has a bus stop very close, but half the time the bus would change the last stop while we were riding and we’d have to get off and walk. I would stay somewhere closer to things to do next time. My biggest issue was that the air conditioner was set at a minimum temperature and it was always hot in the room and I couldn’t sleep. It would get the lowest temp the first couple of days but then it would never get below 2 degrees above the lowest temp and it started shutting off randomly after an hour or sometimes even 30 minutes. We told the front desk and they didn’t do anything about it for about 10 hours and then when their fix didn’t work, they said we were welcome to check out for our last two days as we were headed out to a show late in the evening. Hotels were very expensive because of events going on in London during that time, so we couldn’t reasonably leave and we didn’t have time. They also made no effort the last two days to fix the issue, so I can only assume that they are just letting the next guests deal with it as well. Also, this hotel doesn’t clean your room and you have to go get towels and toilet paper yourself. Definitely not worth the cost. It was pretty musty after a week of sweating in there. They did bring a small fan up, but it didn’t even provide as much air as my small hand held fan.

Great location near Tower Bridge. Spacious rooms that had been updated recently. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location within walking distance to Tower Bridge and London Br Station. Around the corner from Bermondsey St with lots of good food. Frequency Cafe downstairs had excellent coffees and pastries! Kitchenette was nice to have in the room! Would stay again!

It was 85 degrees the evening I checked in. My hotel room had NO WORKING AIR CONDITIONING and they refused to refund me and said they had no other rooms available. 3rd floor 90 degrees in the room with a fan only. when things are working, it's a lovely upscale property but not when they're not

The courtyard suite was fabulous. Our only issue was the shower tiles were mouldy.

This is a very cool spot ! One of my favourite parts of London ! Needed to stay over for an early morning work event. Location is near Bermondsey street 14 min walk from London Bridge station. There are a wonderful choice of restaurants and pubs walking distance. The hotel is located on a main road ! Busses and a lot of traffic but if you’re staying in London no chance to get away from that. Staff were so kind and helpful. Clean Safe Very cool spot will definitely go back.

Really enjoyed the BL. The staff was very accommodating, we stayed inside courtyard suite so we could sit outside in the mornings for coffee. We cooked on one night and managed with just the essentials they provide. The gym was great, it had everything we needed despite being small. It does requires a reservation but we had no problem securing time. We really enjoyed the walk from the hotel through Bermondsey to the London Tower underground with access to everything. Lots of bars, restaurants and food stores within a few minutes walk. Would stay there again without hesitation.

This place it's wonderful: comfortable, cool and accessible. The staff is very professional and friendly. This was our second time there and we cannot wait to go back

Nice place, the surrounding area is suspect at night

Such a lovely place to stay, very modern and chilled. Rooms are lovely although we had a problem with the air conditioning not working in our room and it was such a hot weekend. Contacted reception the following morning and they couldn’t do enough to help. They upgraded us free of charge to another room, extended our check out and had a partial refund for the inconvenience caused. Overall very impressed and would go back. Thank you

Great location Great rooms Great staff

No hot water for my two night stay, r which many room temperature showers. They said the boiler was having a problem. Unacceptable for any star hotel, much less a four star one. Also, the bathroom reeked of a strong musty odor that permeated throughout the entire room. Otherwise, the room was nice, clean, and the staff very friendly. But the lack of hot water really ruined the experience, and the bad smell.

Had a booking issue (my fault) and send an email in attempt to resolve before we arrived. Did not receive response. Arrived and the young lady at the service desk was very friendly and resolve the issue. We discovered during the night the AC was not functioning and it was 26.5 degrees Celsius in the room. Contacted a young man at the desk and informed him about the conditions, we received no message about our room and after a long day returned to the room to discover there was no change and still had a miserable night. Went to the front desk again and expressed my concern, as told that the system was just overloaded. I insisted they they check again, at which point they determined the AC was not functioning. They then offered to move our accommodations. The rest of our stay went without issue. We found the location to be excellent with many nice pubs and eating opportunities nearby., would highly recommend Woolpack. Room was clean and had all the amenities we needed in the room, even an iron with an ironing board. Staff was very friendly, just could have had a bit more communication on day 1 and 2.

Awesome place to stay- centrally located and accommodations were perfect for me.
