Delta Hotels by Marriott Newcastle Gateshead

Check in was nice and easy. We were on the 1st floor. Room was nice and clean with a very large bed with a sofa, comfy chair and also a desk chair. The only downside is the shower is not the best, but it works and does the job.

The beds were very soft and uncomfortable, we didn't get a good night's sleep.

Absolutely wonderful stay very friendly receptionists, a very friendly gentleman on breakfast made a big difference to our breakfast experience.

It is whitin walking distance of shops and restaurants

A hotel that actually looks like its photos. Staff are super nice and the pool is amazing. Cannot wait to come baxk.

A weekend stay, with wife and kids. Pool was good. Lovely breakfast, service all round excellent.

Great hotel and value for money

We enjoyed our stay at your hotel a little. lot better than the previous visits as we had no water on the first visit and could not use the water on the second as it was boiling hot to the touch

This is a lovely hotel near all the shops. Staff were friendly stayed here numerous times. good value for money.

The Bathroom was a bit dated there was black mold on silicone near shower door also taps very hard to turn on and off in bath

Brought our grandchildren for a night away and the room was great. Twin queen beds and spacious.

As a family of four we shared a spacious family room. Some of the highlights were…. Beds comfy and plenty of towels. Lots of sockets for charging etc. breakfast was fab. Still and sparkling water in reception free of charge is a lovely touch. Pool facilities excellent and warm. Pool charging area fab. Lovely staff. We had a lovely time and hope to return.

One night stay, room was perfect, staff friendly, food was lovely. Will definitely stay again.

I travel frequently for business and usually stay on the Quayside when in Newcastle, but opted to try the Marriott Gateshead due to its location and past reputation. Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing. The room was uncomfortably hot and the air conditioning was ineffective, despite raising this with reception. Housekeeping was well below standard — towels were stained (one even smelt of food), toiletries weren’t replenished over five nights despite requests, and used glasses weren’t cleaned. On one day, I even stepped on a small pebble that had somehow ended up in the room — I always remove my shoes, so can only assume it came in with housekeeping. The bathroom was dated and in need of a deep clean, with visible mould. The TV repeatedly turned itself off, and the remote control had no battery cover — just a piece of tape holding it together. I was also surprised to be asked whether I wanted daily cleaning, which felt like a cost-saving measure rather than a service option. I said yes, but the standard remained poor throughout. As a long-standing business traveller, I expect better from a Marriott-branded hotel. I won’t be returning, but hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others.

The hotel was really good and was really clean. The room size was spacious to freely roam. The staff at the reception were so informative and helpful with any queries I had.
