Perfect place to stay en route to Cornwall, just a short drive from M5. We had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant, which had great options for the kids and adults. Breakfast was peaceful with very attentive staff. Our short stay was completed by a swim/time in spa.

Really enjoyed the stay and staff were very friendly, if I had to really stretch to say anything bad would been the parking is charged however tbh, the spa is including so levels out. Wish I booked a room with a view as we could just see the side of the property and a wall. But overall, will definitely stay again!

Nice place but no tea biscuits in room wasn’t a cheap stay for one to justify. Far away place no lunch understandably because of hard times but still a hotel ain’t it

An older property, could benefit from netting to add privacy for rooms. Shame the pool couldn’t be accessed from the hotel without walking outside as this prevents walking in your dressing down. Sadly our check in experience felt somewhat underwhelming compared to the member of staff in front of us who was offered complimentary upgrade and didn’t have to ask for their cookies. Was advised two restaurants were open but didn’t have children’s menu for the one at the spa. Went to eat there and then advised they were not open. Not ideal stop if you have mobility issues.

Terrible hotel, any chance to charge they do, parking, internet access, which doesn’t work, rooms miles from reception, which stink of cooking smells, incorrect items being served in the bar, management obviously care more about money than customers, overpriced and best avoided.

Didn’t feel what we stayed in was a family room and like past reviews there was no bedding for the kids bed we only stayed one night and wouldn’t want to stay longer in that room but over all it was ok considering you are in the middle of no where why charge for parking but spa was very nice

Having arrived at 1500hrs on 17th April to what was a packed Hotel & Reception area due to a Wedding taking place, I was hoping that there would be no issues throughout the stay. Clearly I was wrong. After heading up to Room 211 (which we have since realised was directly above the Bar/Restaurant area), my Partner & I unpacked and then decided to head to the bar for a drink and a small bite to eat. This was the first mistake as whilst the Bar was still open to Guests/Public, it was full of guests for a wedding reception making those not attending the wedding feel uncomfortable. After eating out in Yatton that Evening, we returned to the room and until at least 2330hrs there was a continuous thud coming through the windows (which were shut) and this was obviously the loud music. One night I could accept though so didn't think nothing more of it. However, the exact same situation happened on 18th April and again, numerous wedding guests were in the Bar making others feeling uncomfortable and by 2342hrs I had enough of the constant thudding so went to the Reception to ask when the noise would stop. At this point I was met with the most unhelpful receptionist who clearly wasn't a people person and took no interest. As a result of this, the Managers details were requested and an EMail sent (still waiting for reply). Upon checking out this morning I was asked if everything was okay to which I replied No and to met with the reply "okie dokie" just sums up the last 2 days.

For years, this hotel was my preferred choice, a destination I consistently enjoyed. However, my recent stay revealed a drop in standards, leaving me disappointed and unlikely to return. Extortionate Pricing and Reduced Menu: The dining experience was a significant letdown. The menu has been shortened, and prices have skyrocketed. A simple solo meal and drink now easily exceeds £30, excluding the tray charge. Rubbish Room Service app: The newly implemented room service app didn’t accept card payments. Furthermore, calls to the traditional room service line went unanswered. Forced to walk to the restaurant, I opted to dine there to avoid the £5.50 tray charge. Deteriorating Facilities: The pool, steam room, and sauna have clearly seen better days. Visible signs of wear, including cracked tiles, peeling paint, and visible patching, were evident. The steam room was out of service throughout my stay, preventing me from fully utilizing the advertised amenities. Restricted Pool Access: The hotel fails to inform guests that half the pool is reserved for club members. This led to an awkward situation where I inadvertently swam in a reserved lane. While the member was polite, the lack of clear communication from staff was frustrating. Unjustified Parking Charge: The introduction of a £10 daily parking fee was a particularly unwelcome surprise. While mentioned in the description, this fee was never previously applied, and no added value justifies the cost.

I was not expecting to pay for parking, this was not mentioned at the time of booking so I do not know if this is a Hotels.com issue or the hotel. It’s becoming a recurring theme of late which to me when you’re paying over £100 (usually between £110 and £140) room only, at locations with plenty of parking spaces is a stealth tax. Staff in the reception and bar area did not seem to know if I could eat in the bar or the restaurant. As a sole traveller I prefer the bar area so I can catch up on work. Eventually afterr some discussion I was allowed to eat in the bar area but only as it was quiet and it was conveyed in a way that I was fortunate.

I got shoved in a substandard room - no TV no Internet and charged the full rate I stay in hotels 2 or 3 nights every week, and have done for 9 years … this is the first time I’ve felt bothered enough to leave a review

Very nice and comfortable hotel. The rooms are well appointed and modern. I prefer walk-in showers rather than over-bath showers, but the bathroom was spotless.

Booked for a family break. We found the facilities we’d looked forward to disappointing. Limited swimming times for under 16s meant we couldn’t use the pool in the morning before our trips out. TV didn’t work in our room for the first day. Steak restaurant was good. Pizza place, wasn’t - 2 cold pizzas and 1 burnt. Overall hotel is nice and staff were helpful. We felt they could be more open to families and they needed more staff in the club area.
