Holiday Inn BRISTOL - FILTON by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The hotel from the outside looks quite old and tired but on the inside it was modern and very clean-could not fault it. Breakfast and the service was fantastic.

A very comfortable hotel with incredibly friendly staff.

Genuinely wonderful stay. Hotel refurbished to a high standard. Pool and fitness area absolutely spotless. Restaurant and breakfast both very good. Best of all were the staff, just fantastic service from beginning to end. Not an unhelpful person, not one person who didn’t go out of their way to make our stay a great one. Will definitely be back.

Excellent staff

Hotel is really nice, bar area welcoming and great design, there is a pool and gym onsite. The room was comfortable and there are extras included bottled water and snacks Couple of bad points. £5 to park over night. The room still have a tub of fruit under the sofa bed not removed from a previous guest We stay in Bristol regularly and would use this hotel again

I had stayed here before several times and it was looking shabby about 4 years ago. But since the refit it looks good. Staff were welcoming and helpful, the rooms clean, warm and bright. Sometimes in hotels the rooms are a bit dim to make it cosy or I think to save on electricity but not here. The room compliments were free not always the case at other hotels. I have stayed in hotels were it’s £200 per night and they charge £5.00 for a bottle of water. Well done Holiday Inn Filton a great stay… thank you.

The staff were so lovely and professional especially the lady who gave us a quiet room. The hotel is very peaceful and quiet. The only issue we had was with the mattress. Not only it was very hard but all the springs were digging into my body. For the second night I asked for a topper and they kindly provided me with one but that didn’t help much either as all the springs were still prodding me. Unfortunately I have come home with an aching body.

Hotel looks like it’s been recently refurbished, staff have been amazing and happy all from check in, to dinner, to breakfast, can’t fault anything. Comfortable bed and room. Strongly recommend.

Great facilties

The sink was full of black hair like some had just shaved into it. And the white duvet was fully of black hair like the shaver had been emptied into it.

Little dated and dirty on the outside but inside was refreshed, very clean and the chocolate, shortbread, water and crisps in the room each day was a very nice surprise

This place is the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover". The outside makes you think about turning around and trying somewhere else! Don't... The staff are wonderful. The rooms are a very good standard for the price, and there's a very decent bar with Sky Sports, or hideaways if you prefer. The room had crisps and chocolates on display which I assumed we'd have to pay for. None of that. All complimentary! The view is "ok", assuming you get the even 400's. Looks like they're putting a pond out there, although it was empty. Even saw bunny rabbits right by our window. Boy did they scarper when they saw us! There's also a pretty decent gym. And a small pool swimmers might be ok with, although it is only 12.5m. Great for a dip with the kids though. My only grumble is that they wanted a fiver for parking, which is an absolute joke given the location and general state of the car park itself. But seeing as I paid peanuts for the room, I let it lie! Honestly, it's not going to win awards for beauty. But it ticks all the boxes if you need somewhere cheap to stay nearby. Oh, and don't get it confused with the Holiday Inn Express down the road. They really need to think about renaming the hotel names for clarity! Great job guys. Will probably be staying there again when I next visit my son.
