Friendly but room lighting poor

I will start with the positives. The Hotel is situated in a beautiful location looking onto Epsom racecourse. Nice big carpark and the hotel it’s self is very up to date with nice decor. I enjoyed the all you can eat cooked breakfast on both days. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The not so positives The twin beds are a bit on the small side. When I moved one of the beds it was really dirty underneath it with an old condom packet. The room was really hot on both nights even though it was 15c outside and the window had been open all day. So we ran the very noisy air conditioning. A very annoying thing was the smoke alarm has a flashing red light and is just above one of the beds.

Convenient for our needs.

Advised the receptionist that the shower trap obviously had a restriction due to it’s inability to drain adequately thankfully the shower tray was deep enough so as not to cause a flood

Lovely view over the racecourse, parking was convenient and easy and breakfast lovely. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly

Ample parking with decent sized spaces. Great views over the racecourse. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Arguably one of the best customer service experience received !

The rooms at Holiday Inn Express are usually small, that's what I know and prepare for when I choose to stay at one of its hotels. However, this one is really small, so small that there this no way for us to take the only one chair out and sit on it. By the way, we didn't manage to sit on it because the chair was simply dirty and sticky. I did show it to a hotel staff but nothing was done after that. The breakfast was fine but the bacon was extremely salty.

It was a one night stay, Charlotte on reception was excellent smiley and did all she good to allow me into my room before the usual time. Thank you so much Charlotte.

Lovely and quiet location, the bar staff were really lovely and helpful. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, only suitable for a small child. You could feel all the bars through a mattress which was only about an inch thick.

Nice hotel, lovely location by Epsom races. Rooms well equiped with ironing board, iron, hairdryer (quite powerful), bedside reading lights, tv, blackout curtains but sadly no fridge. Beds very comfy and nice pillows. Bathroom well lit with good mirrors. Breakfast not the most expansive but has all the basics. Bit more limited if yr gluten free like me, i did advise them in advance and a very helpful lady knew about me and got me the allergy sheet and gf toast done out back in a special toaster. I had bacon n beans (i dont eat eggs) and an apple. Note that the forest fruits were NOT gluten free nor the sausages or hash browns. They did have gf cornflakes availble too.

Overall i good stay. The only criticism is that the towels in our room were dirty and stained.

Lovely hotel. Easy check in and comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast.

Nice hotel apart from the few neighbours who were making noise and slamming doors till very late waking my children up and still carrying on after I asked them to quieten down

Bit middle of nowhere but ok.

Very welcoming staff. Room clean with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. Breakfast buffet good. Transport access not good you need a car. Internet no problems.

We had a lovely stay! The staff were always friendly and accommodating, and I really appreciated their attention to detail—having a bath mat available was important for my toddler's safety. They also allowed us a late checkout, which was a big help. The breakfast buffet had plenty of great options, and I loved the coffee machine. Overall, a comfortable and thoughtful experience.

Great check in. Reception allowed me early access to my room which was much appreciated after a 5am start and attending a local wedding that didn’t start until 2-30. This gave me some much needed rest. Thank you very much
