Holiday Inn STOKE ON TRENT M6, JCT.15, an IHG Hotel

On arrival all of us was excited.The hotel was clean nice and accommodating. The welcome reception and breakfast was great. But it was tragic for me during bedtime. Staff hadn’t mentioned on arrival that air condition was broken. I have asthma hence the day we came was a hot day. There is only 2 small fan on our room. After midnight I woke up short of breath. I called reception 3 x but no answer hence forced to walk a long way . Struggling I spoke to the reception and he said that some air conditioning is broken & 1 is our room. I ask for bigger fan co’z worst might need to go to a&e if persist. He said I should ho now. I was so frustrated went back to ur tom . Took several shower to cool down overnight since I can’t sleep. I have to put t2 fans focus on me left my family strip off to be able to sleep.no sleep for me all night . I was exhausted the next day but to cope since we came a long way ti attend a wedding in Mottram hall. If we knew no air in from start green we could book somewhere that day. The reception even ask me how I cope at home with heat. I explained that I have aircon . I felt he was rude and not helpful. It was afraid that they book people without telling that some of the facilities is not working especially me who has a health condition. 1st time I have booked in a hotel like this and staff are not helpful too.

Lovely welcome from reception, easy free parking .Added bonus of swimming and spa pool,again with super friendly and helpful staff , offer of fresh fruit after swim which was a nice touch . Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice.

I have stayed here many times and its always been clean and comfortable and the staff always friendly. However this time they went above and beyond. My son won an award at his football presentation and the staff at the hotel upgraded us to a bigger room and gave him a free drink and a snack. The barman also gave me a free drink too. I am always impressed with the staff here and this is the reason we keep coming back. Thank you to everyone who made his night even more special!

A very dated hotel especially around the bar and restaurant area, swimming pool and decking area also crying out for a refurbishment. The room we were allocated was very small and again very dated. Food in restaurant was decent but there was mould on the bread

Used this hotel to break our journey up heading home from Taunton to Glasgow, doing so allowed us to spend more time exploring Devon and Cornwall on the Sunday, rather than having to leave early to get back to Glasgow at a reasonable time

Bedroom wasn’t the bed. Smelt a bit damp, fan didn’t work in the bathroom so we couldn’t use the mirror for hours after showering and the A/C wasn’t working properly. Breakfast was… okay. Lots of option but the quality wasn’t great.

Staff very friendly Decent Breakfast Nice clean room Reasonable Price for location. Swim school on Sunday morning hindered enjoyment of fairly good pool

The staff from check-in through to the bar and restaurant were outstanding.

I was looking forward to taking my grandson to Alton Towers and decided to book the Holiday inn for two nights as it had a swimming pool. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice. The swimming pool was ok but looking a bit shabby. The room was ok but in need of modernisation. Lacking a fridge. An ok stay but would not stay again.

Fantastic customer care.

An ideal location for an our one night stay that included free parking. The inclusion of the swimming pool as part of the stay was a welcome addition and the breakfast was also very good with plenty of options available. Staff were also friendly and helpful.

We have stayed lots over the last few years when visiting family. We love staying here as its standards are great and the staff always welcoming and friendly. We usually travel with our dog who is also made to feel welcome which we haven’t found at other hotels. Would recommend this hotel!

Great hotel for spending a couple of days with the family

A great hotel close to the motor with gym, and pool included. Friendly helpful staff made check in and check out simple and welcoming. Nice evening meal in the restaurant which was well staffed and served good quality hot food. Overall a great stay and I will be returning in the near future without doubt.
