Hotel Indigo Bath by IHG

This hotel is stunning. 5 minutes from the station, 5 minutes from everything else. Staff are wonderful, brekkie was yummy. Cant rate highly enough. Highly recommended

Like:- Uniqueness, friendly and helpfull staff, ample and well presented breakfast (although we had a room price of £30 for two guests by booking througe Expedia. Full price , booking through Indigo site would have been expensive.) Dislike:- The fan in the ensuite did not work, and although reported was not fixed during our stay. The only alternative ventilation was the bathroom windo, but this was very difficult to open. The room was located at the back and end of the propety and had very little light into the bedroom. The room light was required during the day.

I recently stayed at Hotel Indigo Bath and had a wonderful experience. The hotel blends historic charm with modern luxury, and the room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The location is perfect — close to all the main sights, yet quiet and peaceful. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the attention to detail throughout the hotel really stood out. A great choice for a relaxing and stylish stay in Bath.

Beautiful hotel in centre of Bath. Close to shopping area and train station. Lovely staff. Amazing decor.

Quirky hotel (in a good way) where the room mini bar was well stocked and completely free! How rare is that nowadays!?

The good stuff: Beautiful old building, lots of character, staff very nice. Nice small gym with good equipment. Great location - close to many sights and food/drink options. Not so great: Beautiful old buildings unfortunately have poor sound insulation, my bad for not thinking of this in advance. Long black hair in shower from check-in (not ours!) Bed a bit hard for my liking but that’s personal preference… No separate handwash for sink so had to take into shower every time… Gym was locked when we wanted to use it and there are no signs or information at check-in how to access. Finally, I absolutely hate when hotels show photos of facilities outside their hotel – it feels misleading. I shouldn’t need to critically assess hotels when booking to figure out what is inside the grounds and what is generally available in Bath. Photos show a pool, surprise surprise, there is no pool.

After signing in, myself and partner were taken out of hotel (??) around corner and through a side door. Then we went to level -1. Yes. -1. Eve who took us down was pleasant enough. Oh Joan ( my girlfriend is Irish) I said when Eve said she was from Ireland and her face dropped. I wondered why as we descended the lift to floor -1. Yes -1. Then I got it. We were taken to room or should I say dungeon. A basement room with one tiny window which overlooked pipes covered in bird poo, another window and a rather big building covered with lots of blue covers. A building site. Eve quickly disappeared. Room wasn’t clean. Extractor fan in bathroom didn’t work and piece de resistance-woken up at 730 by pneumatic drills and hammering. It ruined our stay. I have been recovering from a stroke. I didn’t want to complain or get my blood pressure up. The front of the hotel the rooms had Sun in the morning. Looked nice. Didn’t have building works.why me? Oh building works ??? said the liar on reception when we checked out. Thanks for telling us. Yes they hadn’t noticed !! Boycott this place. Nasty 2 tier system. Other reviews have complained about the dungeon rooms. Lights not working etc. they just don’t care. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and top it of. They demanded 50 pound as a deposit ! Avoid avoid avoid. better hotels around. Liars. Fraudsters and thieves. Extractor fan. Oh it’s connected to a system. It’s quiet. Liars. It just didn’t work. And was dirty. Nasty Place. Racist ??

I really enjoyed how friendly staff was. Their recommendations on dinner and activities made a positive impact with our stay.

Great location and parking opposite. Great use of facilities in the room with complimentary use of fridge. However the building and rooms were run down and a fire alarm went off in the morning with no explanation or apology.

The rooms was spacious a, clean and beautifully presented . Hotel is in a great location . Would definitely stay again

Great place and can’t get better location. Love the ambience, friendly staff, and the decor, quite unique. The only do better would be the bed, it was not quiet comfortable.

Our stay in Bath was short but memorable in this lovely hotel. Staff were warm and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable, cozy, and well appointed. The decor of the entire hotel is great. We would recommend.

A beautiful, yet funky ( a la Ace Hotels though a bit more refined) hotel in middle of Bath, walkable to almost everything, with a great staff, and great restaurant, including room service. Converted Georgian homes, now one building and beautifully done.
