ibis Styles London Southwark - near Borough Market

Overall it was a very good stay. The positives was the free breakfast. Gluten free options too! More than enough to eat and lattes and other coffees. This is such a time saver and one less thing you have to buy in an expensive city. Our room was quiet too. Beds are ok. You're close to the Borough Market and a somewhat close walk to Tower Bridge and Tower of London. Also somewhat close to Millenium Bridge and Shakespeares Globe. The negatives was that you can't really adjust the temperature of the rooms down, they have these all in one sheet/comforter but this must be a UK thing as we stayed at 2 other hotels like this but if you're hot and just want a sheet that's an issue :) and you're far away from other attractions but you can't have it all.

Creative hotel with helpful staff, excellent breakfast, and a wonderful location.

Very nice hotel with a theatre feel to the decor. with friendly and helpful staff who were polite. Good selection of continental breakfast. Always seemed to be someone available if you needed anything.

Wonderful stay at this great hotel! Loved the decor, exactly as it is in photos, great service and sumptuous breakfast. Clean, efficient, great location. Everyone at the reception is very helpful. Very grateful to the team working on Thursday morning who helped me recover an item lost in the taxi. Thank you!!!

Hotel is absolutely fabulous, newly refurbed, quirky and top notch at every point. No problems with any aspect and would definitely highly recommend to others.

Nice hotel, Clean & tidy, Great location & parking a bonus, staff very friendly & helpfull

Staff were good but was disappointed that we couldn't have 2 room keys due to there being a shortage! Vey poor as we were doing different things and getting back to the hotel at different times.

Good value hotel for central London. A few mins from Borough Market, London Bridge and the Southbank. Rooms are clean and comfy. Staff friendly. Cool decor. Breakfast a little basic.

The breakfast was excellent, hotel clean and with a funky decor. Great location. There were a few tiny snags during our stay (eg - our room temperature was too hot and couldn’t be altered, and our room wasn’t cleaned for a couple of days), however the manager and desk staff were incredibly helpful and sorted everything immediately. Couldn’t ask for better.

The lobby is fun & inviting, decor is unique. Bed was comfy, room was big enough & well appointed. I’d recommend with 3 caveats: 1. My thermostat dial didn’t work, turning it right/left only made it scroll randomly through the numbers. Engineering was quick to come help though. 2. Only 2 bath towels, no wash cloths or hand towels. 3. On eight I was in bed on the phone with my boyfriend around 11 pm. There was some loud pounding (which I later surmised was my neighbor), and a few minutes late a young man knocking. I did not open the door but called the desk and was told I had a noise complaint? I said I’m laying in bed having a quiet phone conversation this can’t be right, at which point my neighbor started screaming through the wall. I am CERTAIN my phone call was a reasonable volume while alone in a hotel room I paid for without restrictions on when I could make phone calls. This sounds like an Ibis soundproofing issue more than anything.
