I was attending The Greatest Gathering in Derby, so I needed somewhere to stay. Leaving it to the last minute like I usually do, there weren't many places left that were a) cheap, and b) within easy reach of Derby. This hostel was a lot better than I thought it would be: Joe was very helpful from the moment I arrived, showing me around and explaining everything carefully. My room was nice and secluded, and the bed was comfortable. The decor is nice and colourful, and the rooms have themes, which is a nice touch!
I only stayed for one night, so it's a good "no frills" option to have if money is tight and you're only looking to stay for two or three days. It's located in the heart of the city centre but tucked away in a courtyard, so it's not too obvious! There are plenty of shops, pubs, and eating establishments nearby, so you have plenty of choice. And it's only a 10-minute walk from Nottingham bus and railway stations.
Had a great stay here for one night. Was the perfect basecamp for exploring the city, easy walk to most everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and always available. I opted for the slightly nicer solo room with my own bathroom and it was great. Nothing luxurious but all I needed and great for a hostel. Would gladly stay again in the future.
For the price that I paid I was absolutely well pleased with this place! The staff are friendly and very welcoming, the place itself is light, airy and very clean!
The room itself is lovely and relaxing, the bed was nice and comfortable and to boot, the property was in a small courtyard area away from the Main Street, so considering you’re slap bang in the middle of Nottingham, there’s very little noise throughout the night!
Genuinely one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in! Highly recommend
