A very good stay at Motel One. This is probably the best location in Manchester, being absolutely central and near many good restaurants and bars. The room was slightly small, but scrupulously clean with everything needed. One slight issue was that it was impossible to reduce the temperature below 19°. This was rather too warm.
Staff were all delightfully pleasant and I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.

Our 6th stay at this hotel, we use when coming up to town for a Theatre show at the Royal Exchange opposite. Had a room at the front end this time so bit of tram noise but that was it. Could see straight across to the theatre. Bed very comfy, had a much needed sleep after a very hectic start to the year! Buffet breakfast to me is the best part of the stay, so much choice, very well presented and constantly stocked up. Staff on duty to make sure we had everything we required. Love the new plastic beakers in the rooms, much better than having a drink out of a paper cup. Would be nice to have a satchet of hot chocolate and a packet of biscuits but you do sell these downstairs. We will be back.

Stayed here as so convenient for shopping and Royal Exchange Theatre. Could not have been happier with the location. Relatively quiet hotel considering how central. Room was spotlessly clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very basic and comfort room with king bed quite small but if all you need is a bed then recommend for location.

Quick check in and out. WiFi good. TV doesn’t have good channels. Room is a bit small but enough for 1/2 persons on a short stay. When cleaning my room they left the window opened so I when got back at night my room was freezing!! That was not nice as then it takes ages for the heating to warm up the room.

Hotel was perfectly situated for city centre trip & stay
Nice basic hotel & very clean, would stay again.
Unfortunately the safe did not work & was a concern when leaving the room mentioned to reception but couldn’t be fixed as parts come from Germany.
I also emailed the hotel through Hotels . Com inquiring about car parking but no response was received.
Paid £35 to park at NCP Great Northern
Dick Turpin car parks only to find out arriving at hotel they have an underground car park.
Everything at the hotel was fine though

Excellent Location , 10 minute walk to the Arena, walking back after 11.30pm felt safe myself and my neice..whole of the area lit up!! Would definitely recommend again

We stayed here for a night to see Ghost at the AO Arena and we had a lovely stay. Perfect location - 10 mins from the arena, next to the Arndale etc. Room is small but comfortable, air con, decent bathroom and tv. Staff were all really friendly. Very good stay and at a much cheaper cost than other hotels in the area. We had a few drinks in the bar before and after the show. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was pretty small, not much floor space; and had a view of an alley way which didn't help. Bathroom ok, but again small.
Bed was comfy and was all clean.
For the price paid, couldn't complain much.

This hotel chain is fantastic. It’s priced the same as a premier inn or travelodge but the experience is that of 5 star hotel. As long as the prices stay like this, I will always pick a motel one hotel over any other hotel.

Great location in the heart of Manchester. The rooms were snug, but provided everything you need. The bed was lovely, great bathroom and shower. All the plugs your might need, nice large TV and strong wifi. A bit of a problem with the safe that didn't get fixed despite being reported to reception, but wasn't an issue, so no harm done. Would definitely stay again for the friendly staff.

Refreshingly doesn't have corporate feel like other major chains. A very diverse staff gives it a welcoming vibe and all are very helpful and personable. On checking-in, one staff member was manning the bar AND the reception, apparently due to a staff shortage resulting in queue of people waiting patiently to check-in at 2300. This says more about the labour market than it does the hotel, however. On the whole it was great value, and you always get a VAT Receipt even if booking through Expedia. Continental breakfast won't be to all tastes but everything you need for a decent healthy breakfast. Room was great. Only bother for me was some air freshener that always give provoke allergic reactions, in only a small part of the building and not in my room though. Everything's walkable from here and ideally placed for restaurant choice. If you need to park nearby there are no reasonably priced options, city centre becoming increasingly pedestrianised. having lived in City centre for years, this hotel is in one of the safer night time locations, important for foreign travellers.
