Friendly and helpful staff, even with a few concerns it was not an issue for them to help out with! Bed was a tiny bit small as I didn’t have enough head room for getting on and off the middle bunk.

Check in was super easy. I had a last minute booking. Everyone was so kind too. The hostel was a generic hostel experience. Shared bathrooms so not much to say there. The pub is beyond amazing. Fantastic foods, drinks and vibes. The breakfast special was 5 stars alone. 10 out of 10 ill go again.

Overall a satisfactory stay, room was in order, just enough space - something you would expect of a youth hostel. The bathroom was not so satisfactory: there was not enough space to hang up/put clothes/towels/wash bag; the taps were often broken and not fastened to the sink, hence wobbly; everything was just a little bit yucky and not so pleasant. The room was decent but could have been cleaned better (evidence of previous visitors was still there & here and there it was very dusty). Here it would have been handy to have a few more hangers to hang up towels, jackets, etc…

Firstly I feel your website truly needs updating relating to covid as when I arrived there wasn't any signage or restrictions which showed that we've lived thru an international pandemic for 3 years. Why mention it here when there’s evidence in its application I was rudely quizzed about no entry without ID but the Web info only says maybe, whereby the girl checking me in was absolutely insistent that I'd only be admitted with a passport. Due to an emailing issue on my phone I asked her to screenshot my ID...she rudely grabbed if from my hand and reluctantly did it I prebooked and asked for a bottom bunk. Was allocated a top one, which I can only assume was due to me being a 'difficult' customer. The bottom bunk was free when I checked in that evening. The steps up to the bed are not suited without foot wear At around 0200 there was a fight amongst 2 male guests. One obviously drunk. The night male receptionist eventually came up to calm things. Saw an open can of lager from one of the guests but no action taken, despite a no alcohol policy clearly displayed I'm used to hostel stays throughout the world and used to community living but this represents the worst of this type of hospitality

Decent hostel. Beware of snorers though, bring ear plugs.

If you want to drop for a sleep and you have deep sleep like me great and cheap place

It was not too good clean it's very dirty place

Do not stay in the summer as there is no air conditioning the room was a sweat box and felt a bit dodgy.

Great location. Service was great in the pub below but in the rooms above loud, not great for sleep. Rooms had bed bugs and underneath the beds were not cleaned. I checked out on discovering this (other people had checked out as well or were moved to other rooms)

The staff was very friendly and helpful a great place to stay couldn't possibly find anything wrong

Not best welcome when i arrived Got to the room and it stank of sweaty feet and bo All through the night was constant noise I was lucky to get couple hours sleep at most The bathrooms seemed clean but someone left one in awful mess The only good thing was the bed Sheets were clean and was quite comfy

I'm really sad to write this review. I've stayed 200+ times at this hostel over the last 4 years and the accomodation, staff and location are fantastic. Even better since the refurbishment, although with a slight increase in price and removal of free breakfast, not as competatively priced as previously. However the real deal breaker has been the on and off Bed Bug infestations that I have had to suffer. On my last stay, they were so bad, I have over 100 bites and had to get a refund and leave early. Easily the itchiest bites I have ever suffered. I feel the Hostel is in denial and failing to fully address the issue. I therefore emplore anyone suffering same to leave a review and hope that the Hostel will be fully treated and get back to offering great accomodation.

The staff was terrible, I had a problem with one of the guest in the room because he was drunk and under drugs effected, I asked the staff to change my place to another bed or room they refused to help me them I had to leave the place 2am for my own security

For the price and my needs, this worked out for me. Pub downstairs was fine. free evening and night parking in streets close by
