We loved our stay at the Ruby Stella. A Cozy room seemed like it may be a bit claustrophobic but it was sized just perfectly for a pair of travelers. Conveniently located a short walk away from an underground station and several museums (including the British Museum!) along with various food options. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel - not a great position but fairly close to Farringdon tube. Lovely room with nice quirky touches. Shame about plumbing causing a dripping noise coming from all the waste pipes in the middle of the night. Great staff

Coffee option in the galley would’ve been good. Really comfy bed. Cosy room is, as expected, a small size. 5 min walk from Farringdon. Local shop at end of street was useful. Staff greeted me on arrival by name which was nice. Easy self service check in & out. Lovely looking bar, restaurant & terrace but I didn’t get to try on this trip.

The hotel is quite charming, although to say its air conditioning is a bit hit and miss is an understatement. Also, we were told on check in there was coffee available on our floor. We were there 10 days and none was ever actually put out. The stuff to go in hot water was, but they never put out the actual water. At first they let us take coffee off the buffet in the morning, or made us some from the bar, but then started charging us. Didn’t sit well for something that was supposed to be free. The breakfast buffet is ok, but 20 pounds for cold food might be a bit much. The bar is very convenient, as most restaurants and pubs nearby stop food service very early, and it goes 24/7. The cleaning lady does a good job, our room was always spotless. I would highly recommend staying away from the nest room. We did it, knowing we would only be in the room to sleep, the pictures do not represent how small it actually is. It was nearly impossible for the two of us, who pack very light and are low maintenance. Also, no idea if the air conditioning is better or worse in other rooms. Ours would shut off in the middle of the night, and the bed would be soaked in sweat. We really did like the area it was in, convenient to numerous different things, but not too busy. Probably won’t be staying again though.

The bed was really comfortable, and the room was very quiet. The ‘cosy’ category room is very small. I know European hotel rooms are small, but this one felt very small and I was by myself. They have a deal if you skip cleaning of your room until the third day you get a free drink coupon for the bar - I thought that sounded okay but I misunderstood and thought after the third night they would do up the room every day - not the case. If you sign up for that, it means your room only gets cleaned every three days for your entire stay, not really a great deal in my opinion. For a glass of wine - on my six day stay my room only got cleaned once. I also felt the location was a little far away from a lot of the things I wanted to see, but on the upside I did a lot of walking.

A good value for price and location. It's reasonably close to things, but not very close. 15 minute walk to the nearest tube stop. Leather Lane is nice enough, as is Exmouth market. But it's 25 minutes to the Strand - 30+ to the West End. Very clean. New. Shower is nice. As it is the outside seating area adjacent the bar. But the rooms are very small. You really can't unpack, if you've brought luggage for more than a couple of days. Definitely not for the accessibility-challenged. Housekeeping could be more consistent. No top--sheet on beds?
