Very comfortable stay, in a spacious room with a clean en-suite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good bar and nice food. Here for overnight stay en-route and would definitely return and maybe for a longer stay.

Every member of staff that we interacted with were helpful, friendly and courteous. The room was lovely and so was breakfast. Very dog friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The room was a good size the bathroom was clean but there were spiders in there and also in the bedroom when lying on the bed you could see cobwebs. On the other hand the food was good pub food

The room was average, could do with sprucing up a little. The bathroom had at least 8 spiders in it on the ceiling so it can’t have been dusted for some time. We had food which was good but out of stock of a lot of the menu when we ate at 7:30pm. The pool table is expensive at £1 a go when it doesn’t always release the balls, has a slant on the table and the cushion is creased, not to mention the room is too small in places even for a short cue. We were told at check in that breakfast was at 7 but it actually started at 7:30am. We had prepaid for breakfast but found that not everything on the breakfast menu was included and there would be an addition surcharge for certain options. The place has character and the staff are friendly but it could have just been a little better.

Brilliant stay again at the Windmill. Dinner was superb. Room was quiet and well cared for. Like many places it could do with a spruce up but the quality of service and wonderful environment make up for any minor blemishes.
Food was amazing. We were staying for St Val’s night and thought it might affect our stay but it was a delicious dinner. Whenever I see a lot of options on a menu I’m concerned the quality might be mediocre. Not here. The quality of the cooking always seems to have been excellent whenever we’ve visited.

Staying for a weekend with our dog to visit family whilst we found the room comfortable it was rather dated and dreary with little natural light. Also there were at least 5 cats living at the pub and so hanging around the building such that we had to be very wary with our dog as he loves to chase them. The restaurant food and service was good.
