I expected something average but got something truely exceptional. I can say without doubt this was the most comfortable, clean, roomy, well maintained and beautifully renovated accommodation I have EVER stayed in. The staff were super friendly. The breakfast was exquisite. The pub itself is charming and the dinner menu full of local produce and the meal I had was delicious. I was worried about where to park the car in such a tiny village but there is a big car park at the back. Definitely recommend. 11 stars!

Beautiful spot and a lovely stretch of legs around the white cottage village. Some confusion over breakfast times with the landlord which got resolved but best to make it clear breakfast is not served until 9am if a business traveller this is too late. (i was asked if i stay in country pubs and i do 47 so far this year) Food was good quality i loved the chicken bites delicious. The room could do with a chair as you have to put luggage on the floor although the room is very small.

One of the comfiest beds I have stayed in lovely big shower. The food was magnificent.A lot of choice of local produce perfectly cooked and coped wonderfully with my allergies. We had a lovely overnight stay at this inn. The room was great , very clean , quality fixtures and fittings. Bed very comfortable, quality bed linens. Spacious ensuite , plenty of hot water with good water pressure in the shower. Showe gel , shampoo and towels all provided.
We had a lovely meal in the evening , 3 course special menu was great value.
Great breakfast provided in the morning.
Team at the inn were friendly and welcoming.

We arrived at the “who’d have thought it”, to an amazing welcome. All of the staff was exceptional and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spotless and welcoming, while we were there we had a meal in their restaurant and again very friendly staff and the meal was fantastic. We will definitely be booking again to come back.
