Sadly I had high hopes for this hotel but I would say it’s more on the budget side. Minimal storage, minimal TV channels, no Netflix, pre-made cocktails, no light-filtering curtains (so we had to keep the blackout blinds down as our window was above the busy car park), bar was more like a students union/airport pub, no decent room service options, mattress was exposed under the pillows without a cover (disgusting), floor lamp didn’t work, room was cold, no room phone for reception. I expected more so maybe this may have been an issue on my side. I would say that it’s a slight upgrade to a budget hotel.

Money is being spent on the new extension but existing rooms need attention; air-con in all rooms hasn't worked for some time (they are providing small fan heaters), carpets are damaged, bathroom extraction is poor, awful paint touch-up to bathroom doors. This used to be a really nice hotel, please get it back up to standard again!

It’s the most terrible hotel - is that a four star hotel ? It looks stylish from the look of the building, however, the experience the poor. Reception : no proper reception desk but a small square desk? I’m not sure what’s that at the beginning. Room: spacious but empty. Hope you get what I mean. No water , no bottled water?! This is the first hotel I stayed that bottled water is not provided. No telephone, you need to scan QR code to get what you want. However, there is no agent available to serve you. Service: I went to reception asking if there is any hair conditioner and slippers provided. The receptionist looked confused. Speechless 😶

The staff were lovely but the place itself is very tired looking. The beds were comfy but the rooms desperately need some TLC. I'm not sure it can class itself a 4 star hotel it definitely wasn't and quite over priced. The car park was awful. Dark and very little lighting making it feel quite unsafe if you were parked right at the back. Cars parked up on kerbs making it practically impossible to pass through and the fact that they charge £5 per day per car for the privilege! The reception and bar area was very rowdy and loud and a strong smell of weed both outside and in the hotel corridor. Genuinely not somewhere I'd stay again or recommend. The only saving grace was the food in the restaurant want to bad and the staff were nice.
