Waterside Hotel & Leisure Club

I have never stayed anywhere and been treated as poorly as i was on friday I paid £100 for the stay, the staff were quite young watched me struggle around the hotel trying to do various tasks and no one helped me, some staff even walked straight pass me The quality of the room was appalling, mould, the furniture was very dated and didnt match, burnt iron marks on tge carpet, i paid for a king size reasonable size room, i was given a double box size room, tge breakfast was cold and very limited and at dinner time again i was ignored, left sitting down for over 20 minutes, no one came to offer any assistant or explain the process, so i went to bed hungry, each day i asked for milk for my baby to be warmed up it wasnt done, i had to drive out and find a costa. The venue isnt disabled friendly at all, the pool and the facilities are the best thing about this hotel They need to put a info pack.in the rooms, we nearly missed breakfast and also a blind or net curtain at the windows, we couldn't open the curtain because people from the restaurant could see us in the room The paint work was appalling, cracks in the ceiling, the tap was so loud, you thought it was going to burst i could have stayed in the travelodge and had a much better stay! I paid a much higher premium because i wanted to have a luxury stay and i recieved the worse stay ever I have never been treated so badly in my life They didnt even ask how my stay was as i checked out No care in the world!

Always enjoy staying here. Staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are great. Rooms are adequate.

The staff here are unbelievable. They are a credit, not only to the hotel, but customer service and hospitality in general. Tyler, Josh, Mark and the entire team were friendly and personable throughout every moment of our stay. They met all our requests minimal fuss or issue and all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at ease. The WiFi was not the strongest but with the facilities on offer, this was no problem to us and did not affect our stay. We would highly recommend and we look forward to returning in the future. Massive thank you to the whole Waterside team. Come on United!

Very welcoming and friendly staff. The spa area is amazing. Very tasty meal from the chef, comfy room and good breakfast. An affordable price too. Thank you!

Bedroom was cramped and noisy. Bed was basic and not very comfortable. Breakfast was good with choice. Staff were friendly and attentive

The hotel itself was nice and clean, the scenery was lovely! Staff were also nice, but just a few things with my room. I booked a standard room but I didn’t realise it would be so loud. I could hear the next room’s conversations loud and clear, as well as hearing each and every movement of the room upstairs. There was also was a strange noise coming from the ceiling. Every few minutes the same noise would occur - not sure if it was pipework, the upstairs resident, or anything else. Finally, the bathroom was lovely but the shower situation was not ideal. The water pressure was crazy high to the point where even the slightest turn would send the moveable shower head flying, and there was no happy medium with the water, between cold and burning hot I did burn myself a few times trying to figure this out. Amenities were nice though, gym is 24 hours and the swimming pool is nice and big.

Very good value, lovely breakfast included. Room small but clean and well maintained. All staff very helpful, polite and responsive all the time. Easy walk to shops if you need anything, lots of places to eat near by if you want options. Enjoyed the swim in the large pool, using sauna etc and the gym, all included. Perfect for a stopover.

Really nice hotel rooms a little on the small side but clean and nice to stay in. Tyler on reception was really friendly and helpful.

Small room but nice and comfortable

Travelled with my 2 children aged 8 and 2. We had the King bed and the room was well presented, although carpet looked worn in and the bath needed a once over when we arrived. My son was invited to join a martial arts class when we checked in so he was pleased! We ordered food from the restaurant while he was in the class. Portions were decent, staff were attentive, burgers and kids meals were yum... not a crumb left. There was no water in the room but complimentary jugs were available at the bar. Buffet breakfast had variety and the staff were quick with the vegetarian order. All the high chairs were super clean, lined up neatly to help ourselves. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I would stay again and might try a family room next time :)

Gym was closed for renovation unfortunately but pool and spa were open along with the boxing area. Nice meal in the restaurant and good breakfast

Excellent location

Staff so helpful and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Opened the door when they saw us arriving with luggage and made us really welcome. We ate in the restaurant and the service was the best we have experienced in a long time.

Great location and easy parking. All staff so helpful and friendly. Hotel overall is clean and service is excellent with great facilities . Only negative is the rooms are very small. Otherwise it would be 5 star rating for us.
