Good accommodation with friendly staff

Noise. Dirty. Poor communication. NOISE.

Everything was OK

Easy to find and park, the room was clean and comfortable but was beginning to look tired and dated. I would definitely stay here again, it’s convenient and the staff were pleasant.

Booked as a break in journey, not far from A303. Quite a wait at reception after pressing the bell unsure if it worked, only to be greeted by ok heard you - when we said we were unsure about it working as no noise or light indication that it did, and the length of time left waiting. Room clean but desperately in need of quality updating- DIY attempts poorly done. Although our window opened onto the pub outside area it quickly quietened after hours. Plus we were exhausted after a 4 hour drive straight from work!

This was a last minute booking but staff where friendly and the food was great. I think the breakfast was overpriced at £19. Dearer than an evening meal. But apart from that great.

We use this hotel a lot as its position for our frequent visits to the West Country .Extremely well priced . Food good in restaurant ,overall restaurant decor good ,however dining chairs need attention ,other diners had issues with them. All staff excellent ,friendly and efficient.We had an issue with the original room we were given ( continual noise from next room ) asked to be moved and this was done with no problem. Our biggest disappointment with the WHEATSHEAF is the condition of the room accommodation,all rooms we have stayed in there are extremely tired,lack maintenance…particularly the bathrooms need total refurbishment. Decoration ie a fresh coat of paint in main bedroom and corridors would help . I note other reviews say the same and the response is the comments are passed on to the hotel’s maintenance department … let’s hope some action is taken ,as we would still look forward to coming to stay here and not look for an alternative place to stay in the future !!

Helpful , clean , affordable, nice food and drink. No plug in bath and bulbs missing In bedside lamps. But overall good and I would come back again

Very comfortable and staff were very pleasant.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel is tired and needs renovating. The bed was very comfortable and clean as were the towels. The breakfast was very good but the main meals need some attention.

Doing some work at local airfield friendly clean 24hr hotel with a restaurant and bar reasonable price hearty breakfast. Good value compared with some in London

Nice traditional pub stay Quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast I gave a low rating due the fact that the shower did not work properly. We reported it and still no luck. We couldnt wait any longer so had to leave without a shower.

We stayed here after having my mother-in-law's wake which was held in one of the function areas. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious.

Service was very good. Staff very helpful and could not fault them.

Comfortable stay, nice and warm room but the thing that makes this place for me is the staff. Always welcoming and helpful.
