Good communication prior to arrive very helpful with how best to get to the hotel and dinning recommendations. My room was on the top floor with its own large, covered deck. Room was clean and with an updated bathroom : I forgot my cell charger and when I returned from lunch it was at the front desk for me. A wonderful stay and I highly recommend

A little hidden gem in Avignon. As per the name, the hotel is very central to most things you would want to visit in the city. We had a great experience there.

The bed was very comfortable, and I had a view of the inner courtyard. The lift helped with my luggage, but inside there was still some steps. The hotel doesn’t have that extremely fresh feel, but it was definitely clean and comfortable. I’d stay again.

Large bedroom - 46 on second floor. Lift helpful due to mobility issues. The location is utterly perfect - half way from station to Palace of Popes on the same road. Loads of restaurants around. Maybe breakfast a bit expensive -€14 per person. For cost per night it can’t be beaten

This hotel is located in a neat historic building in a central location which made discovering the city and finding meals super easy. The staff was super friendly and worked with us in English since our French needs some work. Our room and the common areas are nice enough but had been loved over the years and could use some updating. An important note is that there is no elevator/lift which is common in old buildings but carrying large bags up 3 floors left me very tired even for a 38nyr old man. The staff had offered to help with bags but of course I didn’t think it would be that bad until my 3 trip back up. The stairway was narrower so I took multiple trips to avoid banging up their walls. The hotel had a bar in the lobby courtyard which had amazing drinks we absolutely recommend the St Germain Spritz or Lavender Spritz. Would stay again.

Room smelled strongly of urine and was inhabitable. Front desk wasn’t helpful and we had to leave within minutes and find alternate accommodation at our own expense. Requested a refund and got declined. Would NOT recommend

The laundry wasn’t working but the staff was helpful finding a laundromat close by. Also the website said it had a fitness center and parking but here is no fitness center and parking was not at the hotel. The roads close at noon for cars so we had to park, walk in to the hotel and then go back out to park offsite and walk back with our suitcases. Not a great start to our stay but it wasn’t the worst.

On the positive side: reception was quick, efficient, and friendly. The location is super convenient for everything worth doing in Avignon. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable. My biggest negative was that the room reaked of smoke. I don't know if some previous guest ignored the advisement of no smoking, or it's just saturated in the carpets, but it was kind of gross. The second is that i almost canceled my reservation when i was in Avignon last week and noticed a hub of bike delivery guys and scruffy unhoused looking folk hanging around the hotel. Fortunately the little courtyard creates a welcoming and calming barrier from the street. Overall, great spot.

We had a lovely stay at Central Hotel in Avignon. The staff were very nice and helpful throughout our visit. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and daily housekeeping was a great bonus. The hotel was spotlessly clean and in an excellent location—just a short walk from the main train station. Highly recommended!

Bad customer service, making money seems the only purpose - keep selling specific restaurant, the aircon is not cold at all, no proper bed sheet but a simple mattress protector. Internet is quite unstable and very slow in room, no lift and the male reception pointed me to wrong building and I claimed to the wrong top floor.

Paid for a "superior" room. Right next door to the lobby, noisy, 2 small windows with no privacy, pungent smell of paint and chemicals in the room. To avoid at all costs
