The hotel is very clean and the location is at a walking distance from the major tourist sites. The staff is very polite, helpful and accommodating. As our flight was cancelled in the last minute, Hotel Campanile staff quickly accommodated us for 4 additional days in a very short notice. We recommend the hotel and should we visit Nice again, this is the place we will go to.

We could only check in at 4p.m., but the staff allowed us to leave our bags in storage. The location of the hotel is great. There was mould on the ceiling in the shower. There is building work going on around the hotel and the room was small.

Took their time cleaning our room so we had to wait till 4 to check in even though we showed up at 11am. No rush to get us our rooms. Another one of our group found bed bugs. The front desk ask him to email the manager. Pretty sure that should be the front desks job.

The bathroom tap was dripping.Told at the reception and yhey said yhey would repair it. When we came back in yhe evening and asked, the receptionist didn't know what we wre talking about. There was no communication between the receptionists. It was so smelly in yhe room They also asked us to pay for breakfast on check out , when we had already paid- again no communication between the receptionists or noyhing written on the records.

The only real attraction of this tired and rather shabby property is its location on the edge of the old town, some ten mins walk from the Marché aux Fleurs and the seafront. The attractive Place Garibaldi with its cafés and brasseries is just around the corner and the Garibaldi tram stop (for line 1 to the main railway station) is 3 mins walk away. I had the good fortune to have a room on the top floor at the back (small with minimal facilities) that thankfully was quiet and provided a pleasant view over the rooftops. The lobby with the reception staff sheltered away behind plastic screens and an unpleasant musty smell is not a particularly welcoming environment. Breakfast is entirely self-service and offers a standard if unexciting choice of canteen type foods. The coffee delivered by the automats bears little relation to the real thing.

The hotel is in a great location, walkable to Old Nice, lots of places to eat, drink and shop very close by. Currently there is construction across the road which may be noises but I had a room at the back so never heard anything. My room was on the 7th floor and there is only one lift which can be really slow so be patient. I was in a double room by myself which was fine but it would be really cosy if there were 2 people sharing. The tram station to the airport is only a 5 minute walk, so really handy.

The room was fine but not what the pictures showed. Our only window was to an internal terrace with 2 plants. However the room while small was extremely quiet. The location was excellent. When you drive up from a taxi it looks sketchy but the other side is a beautiful square

The place has no parking. The shower has a very high step so it is dangerous. The bathroom had used paper towel. No iron for clothes. The room is super small. Good location. Great staff. No security. No restaurant or room service. Overall Too expensive for the kind of facility they have
