Stayed one night while visiting Mt. Saint-Michel. Check-in was across the street at the larger hotel but very quick, and easy. The building itself looked forgotten – old hallway, with chipped walls – but the room was clean and comfortable. I had an issue with the drains (do the sand in the region) and had it fixed within 15 minutes of calling the front desk. Reliable service and super convenient access point to Mt. Saint-Michel.

The location is unbeatable. We could wake up in the morning walk 50ft outside and be on the dam for a gorgeous sunrise on Mont St Michael. The rooms were typical affordable european rooms so pretty small with small beds compared to typical American rooms, but it was exactly what we needed. It was a 30min walk across the bridge to Mont St Michael or the shuttle bus stopped RIGHT outside the hotel and runs frequently until late.
You did have to call the day of to get a gate code for entry to the park, but they sent an email with instructions on where to call that morning and it was easy to follow.

Hotel was nice, but reception is across the street at Le Relais St Michael. I messaged Hotel La Digue 4 times prior to arrival to get access code to the gate at La Caserne, they never gave it to me.... If this happens to you, there is a call button at the gate. Push the button and explain issue to the operator and they will open the gate and you pay when you leave. Breakfast at Le Relais was nice and view was amazing.

Don't fall for the "bay view" scam and don't dare to pay extra for it. There is none from your room. The hotel is perpendicular to the Abbey. The restaurant has the view, not the room. We paid extra for a "bay view room" and got a "wall view" literally. The lady at the front desk/ check in was not very helpful, had to ask for the Manager (twice) who tried to help, but not enough (there is no "bay view" and refuse to give us any credit/ excused himself based on total occupancy of the hotel, but we made our reservation well in advance, so there is no excuse for what happened. Moreover, you do not sell what you don't have. The only good thing of this place is its location. However, keep in mind that there are other hotels in the area with the same good location. In a future trip we will not stay at this property nor recommend it. (And yes, there are flies in the reception area!) For it own good, Hotels.com should review the hotel offering, you are deceiving and risking the trust that we put on you as you are selling a product that your supplier can't deliver. Anita, the one who books in this family and who is really disappointed!

This is meant to be a 3star hotelNo record of our booking on arrival I had to ring the hotel 3 times before any one answered the phone twice I was given the wrong code for the barrier the corridor is badly in the need of a new carpet and a coat of paint as was the door to the room
