We absolutely loved our time here. The breakfast each morning was so pretty looking out onto the garden, dinner each night was delicious. The pool was a welcome reprieve from the sun on a hot afternoon.

You feel so welcome from first minute. The property is cozy, breakfasts are so delicious including home make yogurt. Dinners are so special and delicious. If I can rate this hotel 10 stars I would do it.

The two landladies were not all that welcoming. My french is really fluent and yet when I make even just a small mistake they squint their eyes in that disapproving myopic way as they they had been offered something ‘tres degoutant ‘. Also the internet was not working and they would ignore it if you rang the bell at reception

Very nice stay at the hotel which is a restored farm house with a new dining hall addition, patio and pool. It felt like we were staying at a private resort. The room was very clean and quiet, and the breakfasts were very good with plenty of selections. Parking was great, the staff was very friendly, they answered all our questions, and gave clear directions on visiting Sarlat and other cities, castles, and attractions. Great location for visiting the Dordogne.

Perfect stop for travelling through France. Comfortable, quiet, chalet style apartment set in pretty grounds with easy parking. Ideal for exploring beautiful, medieval Sarlat. Take a short cut down across the cemetery to reach the town on foot. Would certainly recommend and only slight niggle is that the breakfast seemed rather pricey for a modest cold buffet.

A lovely property in a secluded place some 10 minutes walk to the busy centre of Sarlat. Really efficient and friendly staff. Lots of parking. Outdoor pool and very nice terrace. Great breakfast.

This hotel was a joyous surprise. It sits on a hill overlooking the medieval center of Sarlat - in beautifully landscaped grounds (at least a couple of acres), with a very nice pool. The rooms are large, and I had a private patio facing nothing but greenery. The staff was helpful, and the in-hotel restaurant served good food. In short, a true, peaceful oasis away from the major summer bustle of the old city. It is just a 10-minute walk down the hill to the medieval center. The only caveat might be that the hotel is just across the road from the town cemetery. There is a brief stretch of the road between the hotel and town that is unlit at night. It felt completely safe, but if you're spooked by cemeteries, it might give you slight pause walking home after dark!

This hotel is a jewel. A quiet location with good parking, lovely grounds, excellent breakfast, and a friendly and helpful staff. Be prepared for a ten-minute walk to the center of town, but this is a small trade-off for peace, quiet, and a flood of lovely flowers. Well-maintained with a nice pool and air conditioning. Rooms are simply furnished but comfortable. If we return to Sarlat (which we hope to do), we will definitely stay here again.

Visited Sarlat and great value hotel with friendly staff. On the first day we were there we were looked after by a lady who spoke good english which is a big advantage. We strolled down to the town and had a nice walk around and some food in the market square before coming back to the hotel where we enjoyed a drink before a good nights sleep. Breakfast was fine and continental style and we checked out and left the car in the car park before visiting the market which was excellent. No problems at all although the walk into town and back again is on a hill so probably not ideal for disabled or elderly.

Hôtel La Verperie sits on a hill overlooking Sarlat. It is quiet and comfortable. It was an easy drive into the old city in our rental car. There is also a laundromat and big Carrafour Market nearby, which were both helpful to us as travelers. Good breakfast provided by the hotel.

Good hotel we had a room upstairs in the annex. Fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Good bathroom. Lovely setting excellent pool and grounds and very kind hosts. 10 mins walk down to salat main centre . Breakfast was good overall excellent value.

Our favorite hotel on the trip. Five minute walk to town. Drive to regional locations without having to drive through heavy town traffic. Friendly, helpful staff and great restaurant. Clean, comfortable and quiet room. Would stay there again.

We got to this hotel in pouring down rain right after a tourist bus. We had to drag our luggage through muddy gravel into the hotel and up stairs. Aside from that the really neat thing about this place is it was created from a old, great mansion. The inside walls were the original stone. Gave you a feel of a different time. Beds were okay but not great. The staff could have been more helpful but were busy with the bus. Breakfast was a disappointment and the woman didn't speak any English. The area is pretty confusing making it kind of hard to find.
