We loved having parking and transportation to the hotel available …the amazing ancient city and refurbished old-style European hotel was perfect and fitting for the incredible site we were in the center of .

Loved Carcasonne. Hotel room was up many many stairs so for elderly it was not a reasonable choice. The village was amazing, restaurants excellent and the hotel was charming.

We had booked a superior room, but they placed us in a standard room instead—smaller, with only one window overlooking the garden and no terrace, despite what was advertised on their website. My daughter had experienced the same issue before. This is truly dishonest management with questionable practices. I strongly advise against staying here.

The people were really nice and there was an amazing courtyard leading up to the room. The bed was also really nice.

The Hotel Le Donjon is one of the most unique places I've ever stayed. It was a great experience. From our room we could see the Chateau Comtal, the castle of Carcassonne. The hotel is right in the middle of La Cite Medievale, near the Aude Gate. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. It was great staying in the walled city. We could bring our purchases back to the room easily. The hotel also has a secured parking lot that it shares with the nearby Hotel de La Cite. We would definitely stay here again and request the same room!

Mauvaise experience, tres decue par la prise en charge au parking en pleine nuit avec le froid. Le chauffeur a pris nos bagages à 24e le parking ! Mais nous a à peine montrer le chemin pour se rendre à pieds à l’hôtel !! Bienvenue... La chambre superieure une cata... j’ai volontairement pris une catégorie au-dessus de la standard mais on est très loin d’un 4 etoiles. Si vous avez l’habitude de voyager et de faire des hotels alors soyons francs, c’est entre 2 et 3 etoiles! Moquette sale, salle de bain en plastique digne d'une categorie 2*, qui doit absolument être refaite! On a du reclamer gel douche car contenant vide (évidement 1ere douche au shampoing, quasi vide aussi), quémander des mouchoirs, il n’en restait que 2 (ce sont des choses qui se verifient avant de proposer la chambre aux clients....), brosse des toilettes degueulasse, pas de bouteille d’eau d’accueil, pas de machine à café et mini bar (pourtant indiqués dans la réservation). J’ai précisé avoir un petit chien, supplément oui volontiers mais zero gamelle ou autre (contrairement à d'autres hôtels qui ont très souvent une attention vu le prix supplément que ça coute...!). Le seul point postif c’est l’emplacement de l’hotel en pleine cité médiévale mais parking mal indiqué (non informé sur la réservation ou tout bonnement sur google). Je déconseille fortement!

Hôtel avec un emplacement idéal dans la Cité. Le personnel du parking, du service petit déjeuner et celui de la réception sont tous irréprochables. La suite mériterait un petit rafraichissement. Excellent petit déjeuner.

Loved being inside the castle walls. Very walkable. Lovely old, and I mean hundreds of years old, hotel. Staff was very nice.

We had booked a junior suite that appears from the photos to be a 2 bedrooms suite. However, once we arrived at the hotel and saw the room, the manager informed us that there are there two junior suites at the hotel, and they only provided photos of the larger suite. They acknowledged that the room we were given did not look like the photos advertising the junior suite, but the larger junior suite was already booked so they told us they had no other options for us other than to give us an even smaller room. In addition, the parking location for the hotel uses an automated door which closed on our car as we were entering the parking spot. The hotel again acknowledged that this is an issue with their automated door, but even though they promised to email us with their insurance information to cover the damage to our car, we still have not received an email from them. The management and service from this hotel is very poor, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Excellent accueil, personnel aux petits soins et tres aimable. L'hotel est charmant et bien decoré. La chambre donnant sur une cours interne était particulièrement romantique. Je recommande ++++

Probably the best decision in my trip. The hotel is cozy, comfortable, and has character. The staff is superb: cordial and helpful all the time.
