ibis Bayonne Centre

A well located hotel. Friendly staff good bar. Recommended

We had a river view with Bayonne in background, so beautiful. For a budget hotel, this was amazing location. You could just walk out the back and sit on river front. Bakery at end of block. Clean, great shower, good value. Nicest hotel we stayed in on our trip, which was very budget oriented.

The only thing this property has going for it is the location since it’s a short walk to the historic centre. The property itself is like staying in a hostel. I am absolutely shocked at the price I paid given the condition of the property. The only nicer part was the lobby/reception area. I am not sure how this property can justify charging the amount of money it does considering I have paid less/the same for other hotels and they were far superior to this one. The room itself felt like a was staying in a dorm. Lights not working, toilet seat broken, mattress dirty (sheet was not over the mattress), poor ventilation, overall cleanliness not up to standards. The staff were great and helpful. I would have not expected this from an ibis, as I have stayed in many and none have ever been this terrible. I will also be contacting ibis directly as I don’t feel the price that I was charged was in any way reflected of the level of accommodations I received.

Overnight stay on route to Biarritz.

Nothing deal-breaking, just little annoyances like: Not enough plugs, and only on one side of the bed. No lighting above the entrance mirror. If someone is in the bathroom with the door closed, that part of the room is in the dark.

Great location, clean and tidy rooms. Disappointed the bar was always closed and not kettle in rooms.

Property provides 2 or 3 course dinner options. Reasonable price and very tasty. I was grateful to be available to avail of this.

Located on the river a 15 minute walk from the city center. Quiet neighborhood, easy parking. Reception staff were great. Food very good. Great breakfast buffet to start the day. Highly recommend!

It is a advertised,a budget hotel cheap and cheerful. Handy for our stopover into Spain.

We have been traveling for 6 weeks throughout France. This the only hotel that no one came to empty garbage or change towels for a stay of 3 nights. No hand towels were provided . Room was not well equipped and bathroom lighting was VERY dim.

Hotel easy walking distance from town centre. Great restaurants and bars to choose from. Interesting building architecture and a very clean city.

The location is not bad. The hotel is modern, the rooms are large. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is pretty good. No complaints whatsoever
