Wow what a hotel!! Our favourite place we have ever stayed in the world. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to assist us with whatever we required. The attention to detail was impeccable and the facilities were immaculate. Lastly the food was incredible 10/10! Thank you for the most wonderful stay we loved it!!

Lovely traditional German hotel with delicious food in a beautiful setting on the edge of the woods where you can spend hours walking and hiking. Our room may be been considered a mini suite, as it contained a very spacious sitting area as well as a balcony. We enjoyed the gourmet restaurant very much (reservations needed) but even the regular restaurant was delicious. The hotel also offers a special pass which allows you to travel by bus and train all around the area for free, including special trips each day to various sights.

The spa was fabulous! The champagne greeting was appreciated and the breakfast buffet was very good.

Lovely location for walking, cycling taking in the fresh air although the hotel is located on the main road, there is little noise or too much traffic. The building is next to a river and very close to the rail station. The hotel and staff are excellent and helpful with seeing the local area and provide a travel card and very useful booklet. Not seen that before! Food and staff service is excellent, but pricey. You pay for good attentive service which is exactly what you get here. The building is interesting and part old and part modern and like something from a 1970's James Bond film set. However very cool if you like that sort of thing. Parts of that interior are a little worn. The SPA is very new and impressive. Excellent facilities and the pool is superb. No real complaints other than the wifi is poor. Considering the building this is no surprise but could be improved.

We were a bit taken aback when we arrived at the hotel to find that it has a train line running next to it, but this turned out not to be a disturbance at all, and we enjoyed being able to sleep with our window open, hearing only the sound of the little stream that also runs past it. The location is very convenient for hiking in the Black Forest, and the cute town of Baiersbronn is just a short train ride or drive away. While the typical, rather over-done Bavarian decor is not to our taste, our room was extremely spacious and comfortable and we were happy to spend three nights there. The bed was great, and the bathroom a pleasure to use. The breakfast buffet is varied and generous. We also had dinner at the restaurant twice, taking the a la carte option, and the food was good, and, again, generous, but the service was extremely slow. This put us off eating there again and rather going into Baiersbronn to seek another option. This was the one drawback in an otherwise lovely stay at this hotel.

On arrival there was a queue at reception ( one person ) so we were offered a glas of sekt while we're waiting and it got better from there. The staff were all so friendly and attentive and let's be honest it's the people that make the difference and make a good place into a great place. We had a free upgrade so got a really lovely room with balcony, the breakfast had everything you could wish for. The wellness area is beautiful the pool is gorgeous and everything is clean and well looked after. We really enjoyed our stay and are planning to come back next year for our wedding anniversary. Clean, comfortable, quiet room with a Michelin 2 star restaurant downstairs!

We stayed at Hotel Sackmann so that we could go to their Schlossberg restaurant. The restaurant did not disappoint! The food was amazing. The hotel itself was a bit dated and in need of some significant investment to get it up to the standard that their restaurant deserves. There was nothing wrong with the rooms but the furnishings were very dated and the carpets showed major signs of wear. The hotel staff were amazing. So helpful and courteous - a credit to their employer. The pool and sauna area has recently been updated and is lovely.

Augen auf/Achtung bei der Zimmerbuchung! Das zugeteilte EZ war das schrecklichste,das ich seit Jahrzehnten gesehen habe.Altbacken in jeder Hinsicht und mit hässlichster Aussicht (und das im Schwarzwald). Für EUR 47 Aufpreis bin ich nolens volens in ein DZ (Bezeichnung „Charme“!) übergesiedelt, das erträglich für eine Nacht war und über ein hübsches Bad verfügt. Zum Einchecken war Geduld mitzubringen.Mancher der Wartenden erhielt unaufgefordert ein Glas Sekt zur Verkürzung der Wartezeit.Ich nicht.Erst auf Nachfrage hätte ich später eines bekommen können.Stolz verkündete der überlastete „Einzelkämpfer“ an der Rezeption gegen 15:50Uhr, das Zimmer (das unterirdische EZ) sei“schon“bezugsfertig. Erstaunlich bei Eincheckzeit ab 15Uhr. Das Auschecken wird bis 11Uhr erwartet. Als ich bei einem „Familienmitglied“ etwas später das Zimmer monierte mit dem Argument,beim guten Ruf des Hauses nicht annähernd ein solches Zimmer erwartet zu haben,meinte dieses Familienmitglied (Verkauf) ungerührt,“diesen Ball müsse er zurückspielen, ich sei selbst schuld und hätte mich besser informieren müssen“.Mit einem tiefen Gefühl der Enttäuschung über solch’ungastliche Behandlung - gleichermaßen unzeitgemäß wie unverfroren - trollte ich mich davon.Verstehen kann ich dieses Verhalten bis heute nicht! Erfreulich ist das excellente gastronomische Angebot.Beim Dinner (Murgstube) stimmte dann auch die Freundlichkeit. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist herausragend! Platzzuteilung leider i. d. nüchternsten Stube.🙁

Das Essen im Hotel war absolut herausragend – man merkt bei jedem einzelnen Gericht, dass nur Zutaten von höchster Qualität verwendet werden. Der Sauna- und Poolbereich ist erstklassig, und besonders der Ausblick vom Infinity-Pool ist einfach traumhaft. Einziger Wermutstropfen: An sehr heißen Tagen ist es ohne Klimaanlage im Zimmer etwas anstrengend.

Tolles Hotel mit super Service! Zimmer waren sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und modern, das Essen durch die Vollpension abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Der Spabereich und der Pool waren bei 30Grad ein wahrer Traum. Auch hier wieder unfassbar geschmackvoll und modern gestaltet. Perfekt zum Entspannen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Bei der Erfassung und Einchecken war die Dauer ca 20 min für uns und ein 2. Ehepaar zu lang. Lt. Personal ist die EDV und Internet das Problem. Mit meiner eigenen Internetverbindung am Laptop feststellbar.Nach 1 Std automatischer Abbruch. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Küche ist Spitzenmäßig. Das Frühstücksbüfett ist sehr lecker und sehr gut sortiert. Ein Hotel ist die Hardware, das Personal die Software, dazu gehört eine sehr gute Führung. Dies ist 100% vorhanden. Das Hotel können wir nur weiterempfehlen. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen! Fam.Glück&Hof

Hotel war echt super

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, kommen gerne wieder.

Alles war sehr gut nur die Rezeption war überfordert öfters.

Wir waren zum Geburtstag mit Kindern und ihren Partnern angereist und sind insgesamt 1 Nacht geblieben. Die Zimmer waren für das Preisniveau sehr gut ausgestattet. Pools und Saunabereiche wurden ebenfalls sehr gelobt - der Infinity Pool mit Blick ins Murgtal ist bezaubernd. Meine Frau und ich nutzten den Nachmittag zum Hundespaziergang in der Umgebung, die ebenfalls sehr schön ist. Zum Abendessen ging es in die Murgstube - große Überraschung: eine Flasche Sekt des Hauses und persönliche Karte als Geburtstagsgeschenk auf dem Tisch. Noch überraschter waren wir aber als unsere Nachfrage, ob es vegetarische Gerichte auch als vegane Variante geben könnte - verneint und stattdessen ein extra veganes Angebot unterbreitet wurde. So waren wir alle, auch unsere Veganerin sehr, sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen. Die Weinkarte ist auch sehr gut sortiert. Der gelungene Abend endete mit Cocktails, Live-Musik und kurzem "Fotoshooting" mit Jörg Sackmann, der sich eigentlich nur nach unserem Wohlergehen erkundigte. Ja, alles ganz ausgezeichnet!! Die Hotelbetten sind fest und für meinen geschädigten Rücken nicht zu weich und nicht zu hart. Nach sehr erholsamer und ruhiger Nacht, trotz der Hotellage direkt an der Hauptstraße (allerdings auch direkt an einem Blitzer), ging es morgens zu einem umfangreichen und sehr gut ausgestatteten Frühstück, wo Herr Sackmann die Omelettes selbst anrichtete - ein purer Genuss! Kurzzitat meiner Frau: Das war mein schönster Geburtstag. Danke Hotel Sackmann!!
