Fantastic for a budget hotel. Large comfortable room with a good sized-bathroom and powerful shower. The included breakfast was of a good quality, and a typical German-style spread. The hotel is situated a little way out of the city itself, but can be found in a quiet and pleasant area with excellent transport links.

Outside the city,if you get a welcome card transport was easy to get on with,we travelled everywhere on buses,trains,trams,so easy ,clean transport everywhere .hotel was quiet ,relaxing and yes very german. Everything we could wish for to enjoy.and hot water in showers .great.

This is a pleasant hotel if you would like the feel of the German/Austrian pensions that were throughout those countries years ago yet you would like the privacy of your own bath! The room was small but adequate. The beds were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very German. A cute place overall

Was a good stay overall. Room largely clean (exception being a small spider on my bed the first night). Breakfast was plenty, staff were largely friendly. Good connection to city centre via tram. Only downside was being refused a request for coin change for a 5 Euro note at the concierge. Else had a funky East-Berlin feel which was cool. Will recommend to others as a place to stay.

Only negative was lack of internet connectivity until the third day with my computer (my cell phone picked up on the hotel isp right away). The "help desk" at the isp wasn't able to solve the problem, but the connectivity came on with a link supplied the third day. Overall it was a nice stay, with a large bed, and a good breakfast included with nice connections to central city (Alexander Platz) and both airports by trams and subways. Room also included a mini bar to store things in a fridge and a discount food supermarket within a 200 meters or so. Ask for room 258 for a quiet room on the backside of the Hotel

Solitaire Hotel & Boardinghouse is a nice hotel located close to the highway, so ideal when you need a place to stay when driving through Germany and passin by Berlin. The staff was very helpful, patiently answering loads of questions both over the phone and in person when checking-in.The hotel room and the bathroom were nice and clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast offered a great variety of food. There was a bit of noise from the street when i had the windows open, but it wasn't too disturbing. Definitely a place worth recommending and coming back to. Thank you:)

This was a beautiful hotel with a spacious interior courtyard atmosphere. The rooms were also nice & even had a small private balcony overlooking the street. Plenty of free parking on the street and the breakfasts were superb, tasty, lots of variety with plenty of options, and some changing daily. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, but make sure you check in before 9 pm of there is no one to check you in. Once in, your key gives you access to the hotel and your room at all hours. The hotel was a beautiful space with a beautiful staircase (yes, there are elevators). Unfortunately we did not take advantage of the beautiful interior courtyard. I would return to this place in a flash if given the chance.

the breakfast was great, and the hotel has unique vintage atmosphere. But it's quite far from the city center and not as good in terms of accessibility. The staff don't communicate very well in English but they're very willing to help and kind.
