Katerina and her Husband were so helpful our whole stay, giving us extra towels for the pool and giving us restaurant and activity recommendations. The beach front view is beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!

Very helpful and friendly hosts, clean room however not the comfiest of beds. Hotel is less than 5 mins away from ferry port and right opposite the beach. Everything else is walking distance

The staff was wonderful and friendly. The hotel was just opening and I personally think they should have taken a few more days to prepare. There was no hot water. We were told there would be after 0900 due to the solar waterheater, but we never could get anything but cold or tepid water. The ac only worked in one of the rooms. The bathroom was so small our friend traveling with us had a hard time fitting in the toliet space. The shower was not working, the faucet blew apart. The staff tried moving our rooms to accommodate us. Then the toliet stopped working. There were no blankets, when we were given blankets they were old, outdated and musty. There wasn't a kettle to make coffee, just a refrigerator (in one of the two rooms working). After staying a little over 24 hours, we gave up and moved to another hotel.

Absolutely loved my stay at Mare Monte hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, you couldn't get closer to the beach (very nice beach) and it was close to the port and quick drive to the city centre. The grounds of the hotel are also very nice, gorgeous flowers everywhere and a big pool with plenty of sun loungers. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself isn't perfect a little outdated and needs a slight tune up but honestly the was easy to look past with everything else it has. Definitely would recommend staying here if you visit Ios.

Mare monte was out of a dream between the amazing staff that felt like family to the beautiful flowers blooming around the walk way to the rooms. You are as much on the beach as you can and it is a quick walk to food and cute shops! The pool was very clean and also lovely to relax by!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The girls were very welcoming and friendly. Close to the port, beach, shops and restaurants..yet our motel was quiet and private. Only problem was the wifi which they are hoping will be fixed soon by the phone company. We spent a lot of time at the Yialou bar next door.

The location by the port is very convenient and the beach right in front is shallow but good to swim and relax at with water sports on offer. With buses to Mylopotas not far away you can stay away or get involved, the choice is yours. A number of restaurants and cafes are nearby at the port with ATM as well.
The rooms are basic but at the lower end of the price bracket so probably fair.
The bathroom was a bit of a let qdown. Too small for 4 people, the hot water splutters occasionally if run for too long and you have to hold the shower head as there's no fitting.
The sisters that run the place are characters, there customer service leaves a bit to be desired.

it is very close to the ferry port.. convenient for a quite trip and you literally cross the road and onto the beach. There is a beautiful little restaurant next door and a mini market next to that.. the beach benches are 5EUR.. the cheapest we found.. All the people we met around that area were super sweet and extremely kind.. the bus stop is conveniently located by the port, a few mins walk from the hotel which will take u up to the city or other beaches.. if you want a calm and relaxing spot.. Mare Monte is the place to be. Oh! and i have to mention that the hotel owners are SUPER sweet with their beautiful little dog Bella :)

Cute little place. Ask for a room overlooking the pool with balcony and a/c. Fun lady runs the place, next door to a cool bar that serves freshly grilled fish and Greek salad with local cheese.
