Monemvasia is a must see destination. It is beautiful and we were very happy to stay in the castle walls! The people are wonderful, the town is so cute. We recommend the hike around the mountain (go past the lighthouse and follow the red paint). We loved the location of Pablito House. Yes, its a longer walk with your luggage, but once settled, it's quiet but close to many of the sights and cafes. The house is spacious, with the most beautiful veranda. It's older with dated amenities, which is part of the charm. The outside balcony is exposed to the main walkway with periodic passerby's but it was not a concern of ours.

A bit outdated but very convenient as it is inside the castle, has a magnificent view (which can be apréciales from the balcony) and has a small kitchen. It is not a hotel room, it is a small stone house. Nice and warm room, kitchen and bathroom need some refurbishing (specially the shower).

We were greeted by Stephanie who was so welcoming and showed us to our room. The room itself was clean, and the pictures of it that we had seen prior to the trip do not do it justice. It is a beautiful hotel and the views from the balcony are breathtaking. Very easy to get to as well, air conditioner worked perfectly, and there was bottled water, coffee, tea and some crackers in the room available for us to use. Would definitely recommend!

Experience staying inside the castle with stone wall low caulking rooms. Location is perfect. Quiet and the view is incredible. The room is clean. The bathroom is dated. Everything you need in the kitchen. The ceilings are low you must get used to duck. A/c works perfectly. The people taking care of the place Stephanie and Fotini are super nice and available. Would stay again. Needs more mirrors.

Absolutely charming! Kostas met us to show us the room and we followed him up the stone steps and cobbled ways, enormous ocean views to our right; tiny, intriguing alleyways, doors, churches to our left and came to Pablito House. "Stay here while I prepare the special lights", he said. We cooled our heels, then he called, "OK; come in now!" Wow! We entered through a tiny door at the bottom, then a second door through the mudroom. A small kitchen with stove, fridge, glassware, plates, towels and coffee service led to 6 or 7 steps up to the main rooms: a large outside balcony, with a table and two chairs; a sitting room; the king sized bed in the center; another sitting area beyond and the modern bathroom past that. We were thrilled! The town is fun to explore and a delight to know you do not have to drive away when the sun goes down.

Could not get over how many stores, hotels, and restaurants were in the castle. Also, so very much walking, but it was a lovely three days in the castle. .Was so glad we did not take much luggage and had rubber soled shoes, as there was a who lot of walking. The hotel had a great bed, we enjoyed the balcony so very much. Sitting there looking out to the Sea, what a fantastic view. I am a cat lover, so enjoy all the many cats, even feeding some. Kostas, the owner of the hotel, and Paniyota, were so very kind to us. Down the street from the hotel, close to the entrance, on the right, is a small lovely shop -- εδωδιμοπωλαίο -- Fotini is the owner. There you can check in to the hotel or call Kostas for assistance

We loved our little spot in the castle. We didn't fully realize that we would be on our own without hotel facilities, it was more like a lodge or a little air bob than a hotel. But the space was lovely. The view was incredible. We felt tucked in and all alone which was amazing. All in all the stay was incredible!

The owner was friendly and informative, showed us to our room. The double room with balcony had a FANTASTIC view of the sea and of the surrounding town. It was perfectly quiet all day and night, as it is not too close to restaurants and shops. The room had wooden beams and paneled ceiling, and exposed stone walls, with arches built into one wall, and was decorated tastefully with wonderful old wooden furniture with character. The kitchenette was fully adequate with a mini fridge, an electric cooktop toaster oven, and sink, dishes provided for use. The bathroom was very small, but everything worked and was clean, so nothing really to complain about there at all. All the linens and towels and the rest of the room were very clean and tidy. This room exceeded our expectations in size, view, and ambiance, and was well worth the price.

The Pablito house is a small, cute, quaint hotel within the walls of Monemvasia Castle. It has fabulous views, is close to the beach, and is fabulous. The rooms are not luxury American style rooms, but are very, very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The management was fabulous, working with our party to make sure we were accomodated and cared for. Super friendly, helpful, cooperative with service above the normal standard.

Perfect place to stay in what may be the most beautiful place in Greece. I had planned to check out the islands after this, but after coming to Monemvasia (and seeing the view from my room overlooking ancient ruins, the Mediterranean Sea, and mountains), I decided to extend my stay here. The room was large, comfortable, and quiet and an extremely good value. I loved the old architecture of the hotel and all of the other buildings in the village, which is incredibly charming and fun to walk through (no cars was a big + for me). I also enjoyed climbing to the hilltop fortress for the extensive ruins and views, as well as swimming in the sea every day. I highly recommend a visit to Monemvasia and Pablito's House is the perfect place to enjoy this magical "insiders" place.
