The staff really went out of there way to make sure our stay was comfortable & exceeded expectations! Only thing i didnt know is that rooms are not "together". Booked a 2 bedroom & my room was in one private space & 2nd bedroom was maybe 10 steps outside. But its a private space with a separate outside living room with kitchen & your own private pool

Luwak Estate Ubud was the perfect place for our family of 6 adults. The place was a Bali haven for us we never want to go out and explore as the place is so tranquil and perfect if you just really wanted to relax. It’s surrounded with natural lush greenery and you feel you’re really one with nature you can hear all insects’ sounds at night which I really love. Pool is nice but it would be better if the water felt fresher but we still enjoyed it day and night. The massage was really good and if only I can give 10 stars out of 5 to the whole staff then that’s the rating they deserve! They even went out of their way to put our breakfast on take-away boxes at 4AM as our flight back home was really early. They were so welcoming and warm, excellent service! Thank you for taking care of us all and we hope to see you again!

We loved staying at Luwak Estate. The staff were all friendly, gently checked in each morning what we were intending to do for the day and offering to make arrangements for drivers or recommendations for restaurants.
The villa was so beautiful. The most stunning place I have stayed in. We stayed in the "Artistic" villa which has the option for one or two rooms. Our private balcony looked out onto the valley and rainforest. It was really special to look out onto this view during the mornings and evenings.
The location was a little bit out of town, about a 15-20 minute walk or no more than a 5 minute motorbike ride. However, this was something that we were intentionally looking for and there are a few restaurants in the vicinity as well as a local motorbike rental place a few minutes walk up the road. It was also very easy to go the Gojek app with my Australian phone number to book drivers and they usually arrived within 10 minutes.
The only (slight) issues we had was the pool getting some flowers from the rain in it. We mentioned it to the front of house staff and they cleaned it while we were out. They also called us to inform that they were performing maintenance on the villa next door. Which was thoughtful and the work was not disruptive at all.
Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back one day.

This villas is very nice and comfortable for whole family to stay. Location is quiet but not far from Ubud Palace and they provide shuttle to get there for free at certain time. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.

Our Villa was very pretty. But unfortunately because it is all so open and unable to be closed off, there was a lot of insects and wildlife within the Villa. There was an animal of some kind (maybe a rat or similar) under our bed every night scratching and scampering and it scared the kids who couldn’t sleep. Also the French doors to the bathrooms have a padlock that isn’t secure as the brass rings have a gap where the lock just slips through so we didn’t feel 100% secure, especially in the room backing onto the Main Street. This meant my husband and I ended up splitting up and me sharing with the children so they weren’t in a Villa alone.
The pros are it’s a lovely Villa, extremely close to town (it’s actually right on a quite busy road (noisy with traffic) has a nice pool, very friendly helpful staff and lovely breakfast included.
The animal life, insects, security worries, and very hard uncomfortable beds made my stay disappointing unfortunately. I didn’t get very much sleep each night here

This is our second visit. A cosy place just out of town that has everything one could need. The villas are spacious, have great outdoor areas, a good kitchen area, useful if you want to self cater, and a good sized swimming pool. The staff are lovely. A great group of people who endeavour to meet your every need. You can book tours, hire cycles, and even get a scooter delivered; all you have to do is ask. We thoroughly enjoyed our stays and would have no hesitation in returning.

Luwak Villas are close to the centre of Ubud, only being a 20 minute walk away from the Palace. The hotel provide you with a phone which you can use to arrange transport whenever you are out of the villas. This is extremely handy, especially as the taxi situation Bali is not great.
The villa itself was beautiful. Extremely comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast served at our villa.
The only downside being that it was a little noisy as it's close to the road which woke us in the morning. However this wouldn't stop me staying here again.

The staff at Luwak are amazing, so helpful and helped make our stay enjoyable. The villa is on the outskirts of Ubud, so it is peaceful, but close to all the sights of Ubud - the shuttle bus makes it easy to get around and then return to the peace of Luwak.
The bedrooms are separate and open onto the pool, our kids are older so not an issue, but would be if you had younger children. Our kids got worried on one of the first nights being separate from us, but settled after that

We had a two bedroom bungalow, private pool, beautiful outdoor dining / lounge area, overall the staff were wonderful and the food is fantastic, our private oasis and the food were too good to give up and we had 6 meals there al brought to our outdoor dining area, with drinks etc.
Two complaints, twice they put on dancing in the main area and the music was so loud we couldn't sleep and one night we wanted to check out a highly recommended restaurant in the rice paddies about a 10 minute drive away - they wouldn't take us in their van even though I offered to pay for both trips, eventually they insisted on a local restaurant which they said had vego and vegan - it was awful and we left without eating anything and our night was ruined !!!
