From the moment I arrived, I was incredibly impressed by every aspect of this hotel. First and foremost, the location is unbeatable. Being right on Malioboro Street means you're literally steps away from all the vibrant energy, bustling markets, delicious street food, and fascinating cultural experiences that Yogyakarta has to offer. It was so convenient to explore the area on foot and truly immerse myself in the local atmosphere. The staff at The Royal Malioboro truly stand out. Every single person I encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant, was exceptionally friendly, warm, and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and always greeted me with a genuine smile. Their hospitality made me feel incredibly welcome and valued. My room was a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was a dream, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and all the amenities were exactly what I needed. I especially appreciated the quiet ambiance despite being in such a central location. Besides the strategic location, the service is also excellent. I left something in my room after checking out, and the hotel immediately notified me. However, since I was already on the train, the hotel agreed to arrange for the item to be delivered via courier, and it was delivered very quickly.

Highly recommended for staying in the city center, close to Tugu Station and Malioboro. The service is also friendly. I arrived in Yogyakarta from Bandung in the morning and checked in at 2:30. The staff was still friendly. The room was large and clean. The facilities were also complete.

It was a very memorable stay at this hotel, the location is not far from Malioboro and Tugu Jogja... the staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean.... the swimming pool area is also OK with a mountain view.. the breakfast is the best.... next time I go to Jogja I will definitely stay at this hotel again.... 😊

First time staying at Royal Malioboro and really enjoyed the comfortable place. Got a free minibar (2 drinks 1 snack), varied and delicious breakfast, close access to Malioboro, clean room with wifi and netflix too. Overall okay. Experience during the rainy season must bring an umbrella, because it happened to be raining when I arrived, I didn't bring an umbrella. Wanted to ride a GoCar, it was a shame to just cross the road, thank God there are umbrella motorcycle taxis.

Close to Tugu Station, just walk to the hotel and vice versa when returning. I happened to take the train. Check in/out was fast, breakfast was delicious with lots of variety, the room was clean, the hotel ambiance in the hallway leading to the room was bright, Malioboro was close, there were lots of eateries around; indeed, on weekends, traffic was a bit heavy, due to the impact of the Malioboro area being closed, but it was still okay; one of the hotels I would choose if I come to Yogya again.
