I recently had the pleasure of staying at Golden Tulip Rome, and it was a good experience. One of the most remarkable aspects of this hotel is its strategic location. Situated conveniently close to both the train and bus stations, it offers unparalleled access to the city's transport network. This proximity was especially beneficial for us as we had an early train to catch. Gorgeous nostalgic hotel with very kind front desk staff. They really enjoy and care about making your stay effortless. They will help you with your plans by making recommendations like nice hotels used to do in past.
Ask for a “Peach Bellini” at their beautiful bar downstairs; you won’t be disappointed! Rooftop bar was soo pretty, unfortunately, arriving very late, it was already closed for the evening for our stay.
Super close to the Terminni train station and in a nice area in proximity of train station if you know you know.
We wrapped up our 20 day travel adventure staying here the night before our flight home and wished we could stay longer and would gladly recommend to travelers staying in Rome.
I’ll throw one “could be improved” and that was the bed was a little lacking but as tired as we were did not affect our one night stay.

This hotel is very convenient since it’s close to Rome Termini, but the location felt a bit sketchy. On the positive side, the staff was amazing—very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, the room itself was extremely uncomfortable. The air conditioning was an issue: we traveled in July and saw a sign saying to call the front desk if we needed AC. When we did, they told us it was already set as low as possible. The room stayed hot and stuffy, and we barely slept. On top of that, the mattress was horrible and the pillows were just as bad—making it impossible to get any real rest.
We tried opening the window, but it faced an alley where trash trucks came by collecting garbage, which was very loud throughout the night. To make things worse, the water never got truly hot, only lukewarm.
Overall, while the staff was excellent, the lack of sleep from the poor mattress, pillows, AC, and constant noise made our stay very unpleasant.

This is a historic hotel conveniently located just a block from Termini station, making it an excellent base for a short stay in Rome or an overnight before catching a train. AC didn’t work in our room and temperature was 98’ this day. Night time wasn’t much better at 85’ outside. Overall nice room and hotel. Just very hot and no Ac

This is a historic hotel conveniently located just a block from Termini station, making it an excellent base for a short stay in Rome or an overnight before catching a train. The property has a restaurant and two bars, including a rooftop bar with nice views. The check-in staff were friendly and eager to help, even after a minor issue at arrival.
There are two elevators—one charmingly historic and one more modern—but during busy times they didn’t quite keep up with demand. The room itself was adequate, clean and comfortable enough for a brief stay, though amenities like the shampoo and body wash could be improved.
Drinks at the bars were good, and the bartenders were welcoming. Overall, this is a solid option for a short visit, especially if location and convenience are your top priorities.
