What Guests Say About Their Stay

Very pleased with our stay at Hotel Corona. It met our needs entirely while we stayed in Rome for sightseeing. Room was clean and neat. Staff (especially Luca and Mariella) were friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English and answered all our questions and needs. Location might be best part - close to many great attractions, metro/train station, shops, and restaurants. Walls are thin, but not a major issue. We’d definitely return for a future visit.

"The hospitality truly made this place exceptional. The front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The location was ideal, with the Coliseum just a 5-minute walk away and Trevi Fountain similarly close. The metro station was only a 2-minute walk. The rooms were decent and serviced daily. The 5-euro breakfast was definitely worth it."

Good location. Close to Termini. Check-in process is manual, very slow. Not much option for breakfast. They don’t allow to bring food from outside to the room. Over expérience is ok.

Would not book this hotel again, The staff weren’t courteous or very helpful. The bed was so uncomfortable my wife didn’t hardly sleep for 2 nights. I picked this hotel because it was relatively close to the centre and seemed good value - however you don’t get what you expect for 3 stars - all a bit nasty.

The hotel is expensive compared to other hotel in the same area. The room is very small, very poor facilities, very limited dining options. The safe box is old fashioned with key and too small, and it’s not free, they charge 5 euro per day.

Rooms very small - claustrophobic. Breakfast is very very average. Not much of selections. Cramped . Shower stall has only a curtain - water gushes out and into the room! Good points: close to Roma Termini- less than 10 min walk. Close to good restaurants/shopping and main tourist attractions.

Mixed feelings really. Staff and location was great. Size of room was smaller than expected. Breakfast was good . Sleep was ok but there.was.allot.of early morning noise from the street which woke us each morning around 6am. The room was.not the cleanest as mould and fluff in bathroom, towels the one day were changed but were not the cleanest when replaced.

No food allowed on premises, small/tight rooms can hardly move around in, no A/C, ventilation, or heat unless you are in the room (so if you are out all day being a tourist, you literally come back to a sweltering room that has mosquitoes and stinks), hotel staff very rude, standoffish, dismissive, etc.....breakfast was basically only very salty Italian meats that sit out all morning plus you have to pre-order a croissant the night before or you dont get one the next day (really?!), no refrigerator or microwave because you cant have food, have to prepay some bs city tax in euros only upon arrival (no credit cards so you know it's scammy)....the only positives is that you get to stay in an 18th century building that is supposedly renovated but doesn't look like it, and it's within walking distance of the Roma Termini, otherwise not worth the inconvenience/rudeness/discomfort.

NO AIR CONDITIONING - BEWARE Worst hotel experience ever- made a mistake of not reading reviews and ratings before booking. Booked the hotel since its walking distance from roma termini. Overall it was okay for the price but my biggest complaint is that the property mentions air conditioning in its amenities but when we checked in, only the fan was working with no cooling. We slept all night feeling very hot. Next morning talked to the hotel staff - the first person told us a story that some other people had asked AC to be turned off due to it being cold so they turned it off for the entire hotel- this was such a stupid reason- if someone feels cold they can turn it off in their room. In the evening we talked to another hotel staff who was asking us why do we need an AC its cold outside ( and it was not really cold since feeling cold is subjective ). They told us that keep the window open and that Rome hotels switch off AC starting October. Not sure if this was a lie or is actually a fact. This made our trip really u comfortable since we could not get a good nights sleep for our 2 night stay here. Either the hotel should not mention AC in its amenities or if it mentions it they should provide it and also add the October clause to it.

Positives: The room was very clean, walkable from the train station, and the staff quite helpful. Luckily a previous review warned about paying the taxes in cash. Negatives: extremely loud construction began in the morning at 7:45. Asked to switch rooms and they informed me it was only during weekdays so tomorrow (Saturday) shouldn’t be an issue. The air conditioning is permanently set at 25 Celsius but opening the windows risked mosquitos moving in. The elevator is extremely small and seemed to be unreliable (would randomly disengage the call button and made uncomfortable noises while in operation).

We stayed here because it was 20-25 min walking distance to most of the attractions in Rome (except for Vatican) The room was small. Once you opened 2 suitcases on the floor it was impossible to walk around the room. The room was clean, plenty of hot water and water pressure in the shower. The staff at the front desk were all nice. Breakfast was good, small selection but enough. If you walk to the corner (the corner not closest to the hotel) you will find plenty of beautiful and inexpensive restaurants with excellent food and good portion sizes.
