Hotel Désirée - Garda Lake Collection

The location of the hotel is simply stunning - we were left a little disappointed with the overall service.. we asked for hand soap to be replaced and it took 2 days. We asked if we could take our breakfast up to the balcony one day and whilst being told it was ok - the breakfast team were not fully aware and we were stopped. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but the service could have been a little better. The hotel is getting on a little bit too - very old lift.

Excellent in all respects

A short week in a great location, lovely views of lake from 1st floor room. Small, Friendly hotel just a couple of hundred metres from the castle and ferry port. Nice breakfast. No complaints at all.

Staff were great, very pleasant and helpful.The cleaning staff were very very good.Reception and dining kitchen excellent and even the guy that was there in the evening when we returned to the hotel was great and knowledgeable.A lovely hotel

Excellent location. Walking distance to the old town but secluded enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. Will definitely stay again next time I visit the area.

Close enough to the hustle and bustle or Sirmione but also lovely and peaceful. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely room.

Dirty room

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Desiree. However the balcony floor and table had not been cleaned (and where not during our 4 day stay) and we missed having wine glasses on our room. The minibar was not filled and we missed being able to order at the pool without having to go inside. The breakfast had what we needed and the beds, although they where quite hard, where nice. One thing we absolutely did not like was that the staff cleaning the rooms put our things away in drawers (different places every day), moved my skin care products, closed my toilet bag etc. But overall, a nice stay that we enjoyed. All things to fix are small and very manageble. We would come back!

Worth paying for a lakeside room

Absolutely amazing stay, the hotel staff were so accommodating and friendly. Our room was a lake view and was great to wake up and sit on the balcony and enjoy the sights. Really easily accessible and in a great quiet area. We will definitely be visiting again.

It's such a lovely hotel in a wonderful part of the world, with friendly and helpful people

Hotel was good, court yard room looks into a brick wall. The standard room doesn’t come with a fridge. However they will provide one at no charge, room air conditioner it turned off after peak period. Hotel is in a great location close to shopping and cafes.

The location and grounds are ideal, great views with privacy.

Nice, clean hotel with a lovely swimming pool. Perfect location to walk to the ruins at the end of the peninsula, as well as the town center in the middle.

Perfect location, staff were great, along with the breakfast! However it could do with a fridge in the room especially when its 35 degree heat and I was also unaware of the 70 euro parking fee plus 15 tax. Apart from that it was lovely.

Amazing location with very friendly and efficient staff.

Myself and my family visited this hotel for a family holiday over the second May bank holiday (UK) I booked it in July last year and it was well worth the wait the staff special mentioned to Jacqueline & Alina on reception they are super helpful they are so welcoming and it’s just what you need when you come back after a long day of sightseeing or if you need assistance for the family, in this particular case they were amazing. The room I selected for us, was mid range with Lakeview is it did not disappoint. I will miss not waking up to that every day. The breakfast is mainly Continental but they do have a variety of eggs to help you if you need that hot fix Nunzio and Monica are brilliant when you wander down half asleep give it a day and they will remember what had a hot drink you want whether it is “chocolata” or “caffè”. The spread is constantly monitored and refreshed and if you are lucky you might get last night’s chocolate cake for breakfast yay! the hotel parking offered is a very reasonable fee if you make it that far! the road into Sirmione, it’s not for the faint hearted but it’s well worth it and for the views alone! we loved sitting on the balcony in the morning listening to the birds staring at the lake enjoying the quiet. The oasis is relaxing and well worth a visit too. I would also like to say a big thank you to the director, he is very helpful and is always on hand to assist, I would return in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for a fab holiday!

Good location away from the central town zoo, but within easy walking distance. Excellent breakfast and dinner included which in themselves would have probably cost as much in town as our entire hotel bill.

Great hotel great location great breakfast close to everything. Only thing needs to pave parking space the gravel is a bit inconvenient because of the luggage. Everything else was excellent

room was outdated, stains and scratches on the walls, breakfast was good, staff was friendly
