This hotel was in a great area - lots of outdoor restaurants at Belmonte - il Culinario was fabulous. Staff at hotel was fabulous . Walked to Guardini Massimo and shopping there was even better than Mercado.

The staff is wonderful. The rooms are clean, but they are small. The bedding is subpar and the entire hotel is very loud. You can hear everything in the hallway and all of the rooms facing sit above the loading dock for the building next door. The windows are single pane and old so we heard people yelling and loading the dock next door until 3AM. They have a large ashtray right outside the lobby entrance so you have to deal with smokers in your face every time you enter and leave as well. Very small TVs on the wall. It's a great location and the staff are really nice, but it's a terrible place to try to get any rest.

This hotel has a lot going for it in terms of location, close to the bus stop, Politeama, from the airport, walk to old city, and lots of restaurants. The staff are very nice and helpful, and it is very clean. Our room had a great view over the city to the west. It has both an elevator and a beautiful spiral staircase with wrought-iron railings. But for the price, the hotel needs to do better with the decor. The furniture in the lobby is worn and cheap looking. And our room felt austere and institutional. Warmer lighting, and wall color other than blue would be a good start.

Staff at front desk were very helpful and willing to help out with recommendations for food, trips. Housekeeping was prompt. Air conditioning did work but a little noisy but probably shut off from November. Location is certainly an advantage as can walk to most places

Overall, the stay was very disappointing. The thing we looked forward to the most after a long day in hot weather was some decent air conditioning; this hotel failed miserably. Three hours after checking in, the room was still unbearably hot. We called the front desk, who sent someone up (who started perspiring within minutes of walking into the room), and they were unable to do anything other than apologize; no other rooms with a working AC were made available. This in itself made getting any rest impossible. To make matters worse, the WiFi was terribly slow and the outside noise was a constant annoyance. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location, but that aside, it’s a disaster zone which should be avoided at all costs.

Hotel entrance has 10-12 steps of stairs. Difficult to access if you have large luggages. Room was cleaned everyday but not toilet. Air conditioner made strange buzz sound every few seconds.
