Hotel Villa Maria

The menu is poor; there are no fresh fruit options, and the coffee machine is average, resulting in subpar coffee. The non-meat option is lacking.at option is lacking. If you need additional napkins, you should ask the waiter I would expect better from 4-star hotel

The air conditioning did not work well. The room was nice, but a bit outdated.

Liked the swimming pool plenty of loungers and umbrellas. Lack of toiletries and no replenishment of coffee etc. not enough plug points. I not working . Staff very pleasant and friendly

The property was really nice and the amenities were great. We loved relaxing at the pool after coming back from the beach which was just a short walk. The views from our room were incredible. The staff was super helpful and accommodating

One of the best staff I ever deal with, Alexandra, Silvia, Andreas and I think Clava, they were all so helpful. Property is very well kept and the breakfast was great. the only thing missing is maybe a shuttle service from and to the train station, that would be perfect since taxi service and public transportation is unreliable

Fantastic property in a quieter area of Desenzano. 5 minute walk to a grocery store and about 10 minute walk to the old square. I would highly recommend.

Very welcoming and helpful staff, this felt like an independent, local run hotel which is refreshing after staying in chain hotels. Short walk from Rivoltella which has fabulous restaurants. The pool was sparkling clean as was the whole hotel. The bus stop for Desenzano is outside the hotel, plus a large supermarket is only 2mins walk away.

Nice hotel, very friendly staffs and good location. Room is large and comfy.

The level of customer service and satisfaction overall was excellent . The reception staff went out of their way to accomodate us with all our needs.

A very slow receptionist, who didn’t understand much English. Good size room with comfortable bed. Great service in the restaurant with a fabulous waiter! Good value for money hotel

Fantastic short break at a very well maintained traditional hotel, set in sight of Lake Garda. Situated 20 minutes walk from the town and 5 mins from the Lake, it is in easy reach of attractions. If you don’t want to walk there is a bus stop just outside the hotel so no issues in getting about.

Hotel Villa Maria was a good place to stay as we wanted to visit the the towns around lake Gardia at the end of a walking holiday. The hotel was further out from the centre than we expected. The hotel staff were very good and friendly. The meals we had in the restaurant were good and service we experienced very good.

All the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which made my stay extremely pleasant. Location is ok - The hotel is about 15 min walk from Desenzano town centre, and there is a supermarket which is 2 min walk from the hotel. Parking is available. The hotel pool is of decent size, so it's great to have a good swim and sunbathing. My only complaint is that the quality of breakfast could've been better - there was limited selection of hot food (only eggs and bacon), and one morning I arrived at 9:30am (they served breakfast until 10am) very little food was left, and the scrambled eggs were left hardened and cold.

Excellent quality hotel, staff bent over themselves backwards to help with any questions that we had. Lovely clean pool area with bar, again with helpful staff. Good choice of breakfast including fresh fruits, cereals, yogurts, hot pastries, cakes, cold meats & cheeses. Scrambled eggs & bacon were also served. Bikes can be hired through hotel & there are plenty of cycle ways around. Centre of town is about 20-25 mins walk & there are a good range of bars, restaurants & shops. All in all a great hotel & great location

Very attractive hotel and plenty of character. The whole hotel was clean and tidy. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. We were most surprised at the size of our room. The bed was 6 foot wide and very comfortable with lots of space around it. On walking out onto our balcony the view was breathtaking. We were on the third floor facing the lake. I would certainly recommend this. The hotel enjoys an elevated position which awards a wonderful view of Desenzano, the lake and the mountains around the lake. The pool had plenty of sunbeds and there was no need for anyone to lay claim to one by racing out of breakfast. We ate dinner once at the hotel and this was very nice with large portions. Wifi was available on request. There was a sort of limit on use though. I have only given an ok for the facilities as the rooms were dated, the reception was poor for non Italian tv programmes, Wifi should be unlimited and the aircon' needs to be modernised. Breakfast was a standard continental with the usual cheese, hams, croissants and cakes. The coffee was delicious. Desenzano took about 20 minutes to walk to. We had a hire car though so tended to park the car nearer the centre (plenty of free parking spaces). Parking at the hotel is also free. You do have to take your own beach towels for the pool.
