The Corner Roma

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this stay was great. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating.

The Corner Roma was a cozy B&B, with a wonderful staff. Each staff member made me feel welcome. They were helpful, and kind. The room was spacious, clean, and modern. The location was perfect and affordable! Walkable to the forum, keyhole, Colosseum, transportation, and so much more. I would highly recommend the Corner Roma.

We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary and honeymoon in early October 2024 and were unfortunately very disappointed. The hotel is not as advertised; the photos are outdated, and the negative reviews about it being a scam are accurate. Though it may have been nice a few years ago, it’s now neglected and not worth the price. We booked the junior suite with an outdoor jacuzzi tub, only to find it closed (and seemingly has been for 5 years). We received inconsistent explanations from staff about why it was unavailable. The hotel also advertises a cocktail bar, outdoor patio with DJ, and a restaurant, none of which were open during our stay. Breakfast, supposedly on-site, was actually at a café down the street. Amenities such as air conditioning were controlled by the front desk and didn't work the first night. The room itself was in poor condition, with broken fixtures, mold, and dirty bedding. Despite raising concerns with management, we were met with excuses and minimal effort to resolve the issues, though they eventually offered a one-night refund after four days of complaining. While the bed was fairly comfortable, and the room somewhat spacious for Rome, the overall experience was far from luxurious, not a 4-star hotel, and certainly not worth the $600 CAD per night we paid.

The property was clean and safe. The bedroom was good but too dark and small. Bathroom and shower were very good and plenty of light. The area around the hotel seems a little sketchy at night when we arrived but the next morning we saw that was actually good without any issues. Breakfast was very good too.

Really nice place to stay. The staff was really accommodating and it is at walking distance from the FAO but, I would have preferred to have a breakfast in the hotel. it would for sure be an addition to the whole experience.

We had a fantastic four night stay at The Corner Roma. The rooms are not quite 4 star as there is some room for a refresh, but the service of the staff is 5 star. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although not your standard hotel buffet breakfast we had breakfast included at the Casa Manfredi which is about a 2 minute walk around the corner and it was absolutely delicious (quality not quantity) The location of the hotel is also perfect for visiting the archeological site and also there is easy access to public transport to explore the rest of the city.

We are super satisfied with the stay there, the staff there are very nice, helpful and make our stay feeling like at home. My daughter said she definitely want to come back again next time:)

Property has its own little restaurant and Bar. I was only there for 2 nights but it was beautiful.

We liked the room and the location but this overall was a disappointing stay. A/C didn’t work in the heat of summer. Rather than move us or fix the AC or give us appropriate compensation, they gave us a fan halfway through our stay. It didn’t work very well. Staff at the front desk were kind and courteous, but were junior members and lacked the authority to actually do anything about our A/C issues, whether that was moving to a new room, providing a discount, or fixing the A/C. They ran everything by the off-site manager, who sadly did nothing to help and although we were diligent about communicating even after we left, just ignored our last email and now has stopped responding. It is inappropriate to have us pay full price for an expensive hotel with a broken AC when it is 85 degrees F / 29.4 degrees C in the summer in Rome. Never had this experience at another hotel. Place could otherwise use a deep clean.

No noise isolation. You depend on other guests realizing that talking in walkways is not ok..... Was not my case...horrible night there.

Our room was disappointingly tiny. The bathroom was too tiny to use. The glass shelf had been broken and tilted so all the toiletries slid off. There was supposed to be a coffee maker in the room. There wasn’t, so having a coffee cup was useless. The only bright spot was the staff. We were treated well on check in by a great young woman who did everything she could.

Very clean and the mirror tv was different. Liked that a lot!

This property and the rooms are stunning. The terrace is beautiful. The breakfast that is included is also amazing. Had an amazing stay here.

Avoid this place!!! Total SCAM. We booked this place that is out of the way for the only reason that the suite had an outdoor bathtub. The hotel’s site, Expedia and hotel.com had images of the bathtub and listed it as a facility. When we got there we were told hadn’t been working for months!!! The Management is absolutely USELESS, rude, condescending and with no solutions. We saved for months for this trip and there was zero compassion. We felt totally scammed!

Not big but convenient, stylish, helpful and friendly staff. Good location. Affordable price, great value for money

This place was great, and very tech savy! Everything was done with the ipad (Lights, tv, air conditioning, etc). You also had access to English television. Cute location - 8 min walk to colesseum.
