Almont Hotel Sendai

A wonderful stay at a great hotel, at an extremely good price. Extra special thank you to Sato-san and Koike-san for their very kind help with some important paperwork! We're delighted to say they helped us get married in Tokyo a few days later, and wrote us a lovely note too (Thank you Sato-san. Come on your Spurs!) All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We cannot fault this hotel and would absolutely book again!

Nice, clean, polite staff, convenient location and expensive.

Good value and location. Was clean and staff was kind and helpful. Room is very small so be aware as this it’s difficult for two people with more than carry on bags to open suitcases. Breakfast was impressive buffet of lots of options mostly Japanese but still a few western options.

Excellent hotel, good location to railway station and city centre. Lots of food and shopping options. Nice modern and clean. High quality breakfast, very nicely presented. Very pleasant and helpful staff. All the amenities you need. Room was a little small. Not much sound proofing and street noise was fairly loud at times.

Super nice hotel ! Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and everything is perfect. Buffet breakfast is gorgeous with huge varieties. Will definitively stay again in this hotel. Highly recommended !

This hotel is modern and very clean. The public bath is spacious and well maintained. The standard rooms are (to a US traveler at least) a little small. There is no desk or place to use a computer conveniently nor any closet or luggage rack. That said, there is a built in upholstered seat which can double as a place to put your suitcase. There are a few hangers and a place to take of your shoes and wear the provided slippers. The window blocks almost all street noise and it does open to provide fresh air. The heating was very powerful and easy to control. Like many Japanese buildings, there are no 3-prong outlets in the rooms but the hallways did have 3 prong outlets. Bring an adapter if you'll be needing to charge a laptop, they don't have them on-site. There is a low power USB plug for a phone. Laundry is available in the changing room of the gender specific changing rooms for the bath. It is a combo washer/dryer and drying takes a long time. The on-site parking is a parking robot thing with an attendant. It worked well and wasn't crazy expensive. Overall I just wish the room had someplace to work at a desk or at least some public space somewhere you could hang out. There are a few seats in the 2nd floor check in area but realistically you'll have the front desk people standing there a few feet away and there is no desk in there either. Overall, the hotel rooms and public space are good for bathing and sleeping. Not working, not eating food or socializing.

Well placed hotel with free Onsen. Well equipped clean rooms. The hotel well situated for JR station, shopping and eating out.

Boutique hotel. Easy 5-10min walk to Sendai station even with suitcase. There’s a onsen hot bath but its small so can be slightly crowded at peak time. Breakfast was not too bad, however, Not a lot a room for people to walk around and place their meal trays on the counter while getting the food. Bed on the soft side, not as comfortable for my back

Room was very small for 2 people- not a surprise in Japan but nowhere in the room to unpack and put clothes and bags so felt a lot more cramped than it needed to be. On the plus side, very clean and Very well located.

The Almont Hotel Sendai was excellent in every way. Great location, great value, the room was very comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the onsen bath and the breakfast buffet was very good.

Almont Hotel has a very warm reception and provided us with lovely 3 nights stay. Breakfast is awesome. The room comes with Nespresso. Will come back again.

Nice hotel, updated, awesome breakfast buffet. Hotels are always small, this was slightly larger than I had anticipated. Public bath was very nice too.

Located walkable from jr station, but a little far with luggage. Semi-double Room is right size in japan. Nice reception n staff. Breadfast is above average. Onsen slightly below standard but has all the required shampoos n soap to try.

The hotel is very new, nicely furnised. There is a public bath (artificial onsen) which is very nice (they have a shampoo bar). The breakfast is amazing, showcasing local specialities. I would stay there just for the breakfast alone. Really good value for money.
