The hotel is very conveniently located, walking distance to shopping areas with lots of food options. It is also close to the major train stations including skylines, JR and metro.
The onsen is a pleasant surprise too! Overall excellent value for money!

The location is so convenient. Very close to Ueno station with lots of options for public transportation. Very clean rooms with great service. Very good dining options in the area and lots of shops around.

The hotel was good, and the location was excellent, but the cost was MUCH higher than I had expected, based on the online information. The staff said it was because the first day we stayed was very busy. It was too late to change, but I would have greatly appreciated more information about the actual price from Hotels.com.

We appreciated that the hotel was close to the Ueno station and had tons of dinning around, however the checkin process was chaotic and created a lot of spin in the lobby as you had to checkin using a machine that was giving people some trouble. The rooms were smaller than average, and the walls were quite thin as you can really hear your neighbours. I will give it bonus points for having both male and female onsens (which we haven’t checked, but I think it’s nice to have access to after a day of exploring the city).

Overall it was very pleasant and convenient stay.
The hotel location is perfect. Very close for few train stations and many restaurants and shops are in a very short walking distance.
The Hotel has very nice Japanese ONSEN on the top floor which is very relaxing at the end of the day.
The only downside is that I think it was too pricey for the room size.

Everything was great. I love the fact that they have a bath house open for guests. The only complaint was that the room was not really sound proof. We can hear things happening next door and in the hall. Our sleep wasn't affected much since most people are out all day and mainly sleep at night, but something to consider.

The manager/supervisor in the check-in area was a lady who took great care of us. I didn’t catch her name but she got to know us in just the overnight stay we had there. She was helpful in checking in because I was having trouble with the self check in process, she helped us with receiving our luggage that was delivered and also helped with getting our luggage out when I took too long looking for the paperwork. She kept things moving along and you could tell she took pride in her work crew and helped them learn to be better at their jobs. I have respect for supervisors like that.

This is in a great location. You can take an above ground crosswalk to Ueno Park and to catch the Yamanote line. The Ginza line is almost directly across. Staff was nice, the onsen is great! And there's an awesome 7-11 half a block away. Room is comfortable enough and the light control is really cool. I was very pleased with the location and onsen and 7-11 and would highly recommend it!
