We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ariston. The location was an easy walk to the Jujo subway station, the staff were always friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself is relatively new. All in all it was a excellent base for us for 12 nights.

Rooms were nice and spacious. Pillows were flatter than pancakes, room cleaning was limited to just a towel change. Lobby smelled of cigarettes and as a result was not a welcoming attire to arrive to after a long day is sightseeing. Water pressure in shower was amazing and laundry machines available on floor which was handy. Location was decent in that it was close-ish to train station and a short walk to Fushimi Inara Taisha a shrine, everything else was a hike.

The hotel is near subway station Jyujyo, and it is only 2 stations’ distance away from Kyoto. Seen afar, the hotel is elegant and delicate in decoration, which makes me expect a lot before entering it. Being in the hotel, the broad hall which combines the characteristics of Japan and western countries makes me feel comfortable. As it is a new-built hotel, the rooms are extremely clean and tidy, and the bed is also very soft, so I am satisfied for the one night’s stay without any complaints. The breakfast of the next day is also perfect. There are not only Japanese food which only can be ate in Kyoto, but also western breakfast like salad and bread. The breakfast is self-served, therefore, various delicacies can be enjoyed, which makes me happy from the beginning of day. Who sat near me are groups of foreign tourists in the morning, they all enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel is not only suitable for Japanese, but also for foreign tourists.

昨年の冬に一度来てから朝食の満足度に惹かれて2回目の宿泊。鯖寿司が魅力のホテルです。 味噌汁の具材が乾物などで別途選べたら尚嬉しいなと思いました。卵焼きもふわふわで美味しかった。ちりめん山椒やわさび昆布?などおかずと組み合わせたり出来、 個人的に好みのものが多く満足度高め。 あと蒸し鶏も臭みが無く美味しかった。 フロントサービスに関しての感じ方は人によるかと思いますが、 チェックイン時は、笑顔が素敵な女性で丁寧な印象がありましたが、チェックアウト時は男性スタッフにいそいそと「追加のお支払いはありませんので」だけ伝えられ、もう少し丁寧でも良いかなと感じました。気にならない人は気にならないんでしようが。作法は丁寧な程客側としては嬉しいかなと。 ホテル内は他の方もレビューしてますが、 至る所にカーペットのシミは散見されます。 私は特に気になる程ではありませんでしたが 無いなら無い方が良いです。 兎にも角にも、 私はこちらのホテルの朝食が好きなので また利用したいと思います。

I recently stayed at your hotel for 4 days and 3 nights, and I would like to express my dissatisfaction with several aspects of my experience. Firstly, I noticed that the housekeeping staff only changed the towels and emptied the rubbish bin during cleaning but did not fold the bed sheets. While I completely understand that it is standard practice in most hotels not to change bed sheets daily, it is also common for hotel staff to at least tidy and fold the bed sheets each day. This lack of attention to detail made the room feel untidy and below the standard I have experienced in other hotels. Secondly, I encountered bugs in the room and bathroom during my stay. For two consecutive nights, I noticed small insects resembling spiders. This was both unsettling and unhygienic, making it difficult for me to feel comfortable during my stay. Lastly, the breakfast buffet was disappointing due to the limited variety of food available. While the price of the buffet was reasonable and comparable to other hotels, the selection of food was insufficient and did not meet expectations. Overall, my experience at your hotel was disappointing, and I did not enjoy my stay. Based on these issues, I would not recommend this hotel to others. I hope you can address these concerns to improve the experience for future guests.
