What a wonderful experience! The location is perfect, secluded within the chion-in temple grounds away from the busy main touristy streets, but close enough to walk out to all the food, shops, and sightseeing spots. The hotel is very welcoming and tranquil, the rooms are spacious and beds were comfy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The on-site onsen was immaculate, so clean and relaxing, not busy at all. We were able to participate in the morning Buddhist ceremony which was truly enlightening to immerse yourself into first thing in the morning to set you off for a lovely day. We rented bikes and they gave us passes to park on the side of the hotel for free. We look forward to coming back to this hotel in the future with no hesitation! Thank you!

This is a great place and people are eager to help. It is quiet, soothing, and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. The grounds are beautiful with a lot of trees and soothing water features. Stayed in Japanese western room, bed was very comfortable Wifi is very good. Amazing location for the Gion area.

Location, location, location. You won’t go wrong with this hotel. Located just a few minutes from beautiful temples and shrines. Gion, the tea house and Geisha district is so close. Service is outstanding however don’t expect fluent English speaking staff as in most of Japan. You will have the option to attend an early Buddhist ceremony (free), I highly recommend it if you are on tourism (all religions are welcomed).

Great location, very quiet, next to beautiful temple of Chion-in, yet super close to everything, in particular busy Gion district.
The hotel has a curfew at 11pm, which did not bother me but is not very convenient if you want to enjoy a later evening out.

祇園近くの最高の立地です。それでいて知恩院に隣接していてちても静かな環境です。最高の宿泊施設と思います。部屋も清潔だし大浴場もあり朝食もおいしくとても良かったです。
更に良かったのが晨朝法要です。初めての参加でしたが、荘厳な気持ちになり1日が気持ちよく過ごせました。ただ、1月下旬に宿泊したので晨朝法要はとても寒かったです。次回は防寒対策をしっかりして参加しようと思います。
総じて大満足です。次回も宿泊しようと思います。

部屋が広く、知恩院の三門の目の前というロケーションも最高でした。大浴場も広くきれいでしたし、朝食もヘルシーで美味しかったです。
部屋のゴミを捨てていなかったところがあったので、そういうところはきちんとしていただきたかったかもしれません。
どうしても交通の便が少し劣りますが、それを上回る体験ができるので良いかなと思います。

祇園、清水寺にアクセスしやすく、良かったです。お風呂は露天がないのが残念でしたが、清潔で気持ちよく使えました。朝食が手の込んだ精進料理っぽいのが出てきて、大人の私たちは大満足でしたが、一緒にいた子どもは箸が進んでいませんでした。ファミリーではなく大人向けの宿だと感じました。スタッフの方の対応が良く満足です。

お料理、部屋、大浴場に満足した。空調の音が気になったものの 全体的に 静かでキチンとしていた。四条に近く外食にも困らず 丸山公園が近くて朝の散歩も堪能した。
