We liked the spacious room which is unusual for hotels in Japan, The staff were very helpful during our 16 night stay in Osaka, especially when we don't speak Japanese. They even arranged for our luggage to be transferred to Tokyo. As for location, the hotel is 2 little blocks from the main Dotonbori food/shopping area. That is, you are just a few minutes walk from all the action/noise. Such an enjoyable stay. Thank you Doutonbori Crystal Hotel and the staff.

The guys at the front go ABOVE AND BEYOND. They helped me with shipping my luggage from Osaka to Tokyo. I don’t speak or write in Japanese, so you can imagine how difficult it was for me. LOVE this hotel. Highly recommended!!

We really liked this hotel. The service is great, hotel is clean, new, and nice. The only issue is the location - it's walkable to Dotombori but is a bit far from metro stations. I think the closest one was about 15 minutes walking distance.

The staff was very accommodating and kind. It would be nice if they had a actual king bed since that was what I reserved for. The bed was 2 small bed pushed together so it was uncomfortable sleeping in the cracks of the bed.

This property looks okay from the listing on Expedia -- however, it is located in a DODGY area of Osaka. We were in Osaka for 3 days, and the first two days made us think... um is Osaka an unsafe area of Japan?? Then we went to Shinsaibashi (only 10mins away) and it was SO much better. Dotonburi is nice, but it is so accessible so I wouldn't recommend staying 'close' to the area. Also, the staff are a bit clueless and not very good at English or communication. Overall, a terrible experience and we won't be back.

There were many issues with our stay here: Despite communication before arrival the bedding was feather. They didn’t have anything available until the next day despite it only being 3pm. The service was incredibly frustrating. The language barrier wasn’t a problem it was just poor. Our shower head leaked and sprayed water everywhere, the irony being they sold these at the reception. Returning from a day out we found the staff cleaning. They had left our door jammed open and were nowhere to be seen. You have to leave your key when you go out for the day. They lost our key. Took around 5 minutes before they decided we had left the key and it was ok to use a master key. They had left the key in our room when cleaning. The service was horribly frustrating. The location is fantastic. I would just suggest you staying in a different hotel.
