The hotel is near Asakusa station and the rooftop view is amazing. However, the room is small and I can't open my suitcase, which is a shame.

Seamless check in and the staff were very helpful and super respectful so much so I wish I could bottle it and take it home. The hotel was within 5 minutes walk of Asakusa Station, and Nakamise which is the main tourist shopping street which takes you to Senso-Ji temple. We found it best to do our shopping in the streets further away from that area. I highly recommend Hotel Amanek Asakusa Ekimae as a place to relax and chill.

Room far too small. No room to move around the bed. Two people cannot pass each other at the foot of the bed. Bed is on a platform so anyone with mobility issues will need to contort themselves to get into bed. No blockout blinds and no noise proofing so expect to be awake at 4am. Only positive is the river view, if you have one. Would avoid this hotel if travelling to Tokyo again.

Hotel Amanek was a perfect first stop in Japan. Bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable. Shower and bathtub were SO good, i advise filling the bathtub with the shower as the water seemed hotter. Room amenities were much higher quality than I expected. We were in room 308 and there was a fair bit of noise early in the morning and the occasional ambulance/police siren. If you want to use the fridge, remember to turn it on...we didn't realise this ;) The seating area in the hotel is a bit wirn and looks tired but don't let that put you off staying here. Such a good start to our stay.

Location is good, train underpass is just at the corner with main attractions within walkable distance. However hotel is in a very old condition, room space is small where you can’t open up two luggages at a time. Customer service is disappointing too, staff can only understand minimal basic English and when I asked if they can help to call a foot massage shop for reservations due to language barrier and overseas call charges. they said no they don’t do that. This is the first time ever a hotel said they can’t help to call for reservations.

Walking distance to Asakusa Station. Beautiful rooftop view. Tiny room. Advertised as non smoking but smell of smoke as you walked into the hotel and through out the hallways.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Amanek. It is English friendly. The rooms are space conservation and practical. We received cleaned towels daily. The rooftop view is stunning. It is a great view of Tokyo Skytree, Sumida River and the Golden Flame. The hotel is conveniently located by Senso-ji Jinga. The breakfast was delicious and the staff are very friendly.

The room was definitely on the small side but it was just what we needed for the first few nights of a multi-city trip around Japan. If you’re not traveling with a lot of larger luggage then the room size shouldn’t be an issue!!

BE AWARE SCAM!! Rooms are nothing as presented. Our room had no window. We don't mind staying in a small room, but here we basically didn't have space for 2 suitcases and shoes. Don't recommend. Ruin my end of trip in Japan.

We like the location, easy to access via bus from Tokyo Station or subway, but the subway is usually too crowded for visitors to navigate with luggage in tow. The subway is the best way to go places without baggage over buses. Being in Asakusa, a block from the riverwalk, and nearby Skytree made walking around the area a good hotel to be at. The rooftop view was sensational. The only drawback for us was how small and cramped the room was. Its only window faces a building wall and can only open just enough to let fresh air in until some clown below lights up a cigarette and the smoke wafts into your room 😒 However, even though the room is small, guests can lounge in the lobby, bring in food to eat there, or enjoy the rooftop view where there is additional outdoor seating.

Room was very damp and humid with a wet towel smell. The bathroom doors also auto shut so you'll hear everyone waking up in the morning and the bathroom door slamming. The smoking area is right in front of the hotel, so the lobby smells like an ashtray.

Views from the rooftop are lovely, can see the sky tree at night whilst having some snacks. Location and transport wise is lovely, convenience stores nearby. Asakusa temple also a short 10-15 mins walk as well as a few good hidden food options. Near 2 metro lines making it easy to move around Tokyo There's only 1 small lift to go up to the floors where the rooms are so in the mornings and nights, you'll have to wait for a lift or 2 to go back to the room since it gets crowded very quickly. Incredibly small room for 2 people and 2 suitcases (one large, one medium) but it seems rather normal for Tokyo. The room that was assigned to us did not have good ventilation causing it to smell damp if you didn't keep the ventilator on (made the mistake the first 2 hours of our stay). When we came back from dinner, it smelled incredibly damp and we asked for a room change due to one of us being asthmatic. With some reluctance and going back-and-forth, we were offered an alternative but it smelled to smoke. We were told by the manager that all rooms are non-smoke, clearly not. We still appreciated that they tried to change it, even if we had to push for it. Cleaning done every 3 nights. We stayed 6 and never got cleaning for our room since we were never informed that if we are not out of the room by 10-11am, the person cleaning would not come back (info on this would be appreciated!) TLDR: rooms are small with ventilation problems but it's clean, would recommend for a night or 2
