The hotel is very convenient to the train station, and provides a welcoming atmosphere. Staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The hotel provides multiple vending machines for your convenience which is nice because the nearest 7/11 I could find was about a 10 minute walk. Getting near the port is also easy enough, it's about a 20 minute walk to the downtown area and some good restaurants.

The location of the hotel is superb right across from the train station, perfect if you are training in from Ichinoseki, and easy to go into town as there are local transit and taxi always waiting at the station. Room is neat and clean and staff is very friendly and helpful even if your Japanese is lacking. Breakfast buffet has half Japanese and half western options. A great choice of lodging to see this charming little Tōhoku town!

駅の真正面で立地は最高です。接客も良くホテル自体に不満は特にないのですが、とにかく食べるところがない！駅に売店程度のNewdaysありますが営業時間7:30-18:00と短く最寄りのセブンイレブンまで15分程度歩く必要があります。飲食店も駅前にとんかつ屋がありますが長期滞在だと結局タクシーで食べに行く事に。ホテルに立派な朝食会場あるので夜も営業してくれれば非常にありがたいのですが・・・。

駅の正面で問題ない立地でした。夕食に地元居酒屋ほか飲食店を備付け地図で紹介していただきましたが、たどり着くまでに迷ってしまいました。ベイエリアからは少々距離があるので、周辺案内図にランドマークの記載が欲しかった。
