Strategic location, right across from the Hilton Garden Inn hotel. Want to go to Kiyomizudera, Gion or Shijo dori, just walk. The room size is quite spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Public bath facilities are available for guests. Close to Gojo subway station. Only 1 stop from Kyoto station.

Wonderful hotel, stayed 3 nights with family. Two separate rooms. Rooms were good. Cleaned everyday. Staff is outstanding. They will do all they can to help you.
Breakfast is pretty good with health options.

Nice clean property. They have a females only Onsen you can try out if you are comfortable. The rooms were clean and they give you small amenities. I didn't like that the wifi did not work properly and that if you were standing outside someones door you could hear their conversation. But I would still stay here next time.

Keio Prelia Hotel in Kyoto was fantastic. The quadruple room had lots of space and two bathrooms. The breakfast buffet was delicious and well with the added fees. The front staff were very professional and welcoming. The hotel is only 5 minutes to the train and tons of food options.

This is a good hotel, but probably not a great hotel. It was the only hotel we stayed at in Japan that did not offer complimentary water and coffee in our room. The front desk informed us that was because we booked a cheaper rate, but that was never an issue anywhere else we stayed. I would expect these services to be available for all rates, but this hotel was the exception, and I think other travellers should be aware of this.
Otherwise the rooms are clean and well appointed although the hotel does not offer much in the way of personal care products like moisturizers and face cleaners, so that's also a bit of a disappointment.
The front desk staff did their best, but they appeared a bit shy and standoffish compared with other hotels we stayed at in larger cities.
Overall we were a bit disappointed in this hotel and we understand that hotels in Japan make no guarantees about the services or standards like they might in Europe or North America

My family and I stayed at The Keio Prelia Hotel Kyoto for 4 nights in late June. The check-in was fine. We stayed at a standard room with two twin beds. The room size is big and we get to use their public bath every night. It was amazing. The property looks modern and well-maintained. The location is nice and quiet. 5 mins walk to the Karasuma Gojo train station. There are cafes, restaurants and konbini near the hotel, which is very convenient. The laundry machines are very busy in this hotel, also it's hard to dry the clothes in 1 round. You need coins for the machines and check the status of the availability on your room TV. Their public bath lets guests with tattoos use the facility if they are willing to purchase the body stickers to cover up their tattoos. We cannot use the luggage delivery service recommended by the hotel because they do not deliver to Nagoya. We found a Yamato delivery service location 5 minutes' walk away from the hotel. We did the reservation online and left the baggage at the location at 11 am on the checkout day. Our baggage arrived on the same day at our Nagoya hotel. Stress free! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who will travel to Kyoto!
