What Guests Say About Their Stay

As a family of 4, we booked the largest room they had which they claimed slept 6, but I think that was optimistic if you're not Asian. I will start by stating that as an American I know I have a different cultural background and set of expectations than are going to be typical for Japan. I know we also have a greater average height, even though our family is not at all fat. This is the only Japanese hotel I've ever stayed in, so I don't have anything but what I've seen online to compare it to. That having been said, for us, it was very small. I get the impression that by Japanese standards it might be very large. As such, if you're a foreigner, or especially if you're on the large side, you will probably feel cramped. It was very clean, modern, and cozy. The kids loved the bunk bed setup. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good enough English that we didn't have to do much phone translating to communicate. It felt very safe and secure and was very quiet... except for a constant whistling as the breeze blew in around the door that had no weather-stripping. I closed a folded up paper towel in the door to allow the air greater flow to reduce the tone of the whistling and drowned it out with white noise from YouTube. Beds were very, very firm... my wife said they felt like a fluffy rug had been laid on concrete. So if you want a more local experience, come here! If not, consider a European hotel chain. Also easy walk to lots of public transit, which was great!

Excellent location! Quiet, safe and clean. We will definitely come back again! The shopping district when you get off Ueno station is awesome. Plus, you could take a Skyliner straight from Keisei Ueno train station to the NRT airport direct. Can beat that!

Great large rooms. Can sleep 4. Not sure about the 4 star rating. It’s nothing you can’t find in a 3 star establishment.

This is a good option for families or groups who want a more hands-off approach to their stay. Check in/out was easy and hotel staff were always pleasant, friendly, and welcoming when returning from a day of sightseeing. It was a plus to have a washer and dryer. Apartment was clean and had everything needed for a longer stay. Beds were much harder than anywhere we stayed in Japan. It’s also a longer walk from the train station (about 10 minutes) which should be factored in when considering this place. Having to sort our own recycling and trash and leave it outside our door was a bit disappointing, especially because we were unfamiliar with the complicated sorting rules of Japan’s trash and recycling.

The washer/dryer combo is very helpful, but takes a very drying sessions to fully dry (approximately 5-6 hrs to complete). Location convenient 7eleven and about 15 min walk to many other food options. I'm a more quiet part of town. Initially went to another Ueno Monday closer to the food so be aware. They have great toiletry, beds were spacious & clean! Bunk bed for my daughter a bit low ceiling. Great stay overall!

As the name suggests, they turn an apartment into a hotel. It's a very high-end apartment at that. So you have all the privacy and independency to yourself. It's very new as well when we stay during 2024 December.

Checked in at 10am. The property doesnt have a resto or cafe and not too many options in the area to eat in except for convenience stores. A 700meter walk to Ueno Ameyoko and more food choices are available. Train stations are similarly distanced. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the walk is always pleasant. We were a group of 5 fit in 1 clean and functional room. The bath had a washing machine! Plenty of space in the bath too. Kitchenette was very useful. All in all an enjoyable stay.
