A very nice quiet place to stay in Kyoto a short bus ride from the station and with good connections to the main sights. The modern rooms are comfortable and well equipped and the staff helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent with very good coffee and lots of delicious local delicacies and the large seating area is available to bring in your own food with free coffee, soft drinks and miso soup on tap all afternoon and evening.

The hotel was a short walk from Kyoto station and had refreshments in the lobby for a weary traveller. The reception staff spoke good English and were very accommodating.
The room was a good size and the en suite bathroom was excellent. I had a very enjoyable stay whilst visiting Kyoto and Osaka.

Nice hotel with boutique style decorations. Good size room. Loved the modern touches, digital check-in, light switches, etc. Bonus to have light refreshments throughout the day like juices, teas, coffee, and sake with snacks. The 3 washing machines in the laundry room was added benefit.

Amazing buffet breakfast! A great selection of local options and more standard fare.
Free coffee, cold drinks and snacks in the afternoon and evening (inc Sake).
Staff are unobtrusive, friendly and helpful.
Join Club Oriental for a late check-out and free bicycle hire.

The hotel overall is not bad and quite quiet. However, the Japanese-style mattress was very uncomfortable—it was made up of three thin foam pads put together. It was hard to sleep on. When I asked the reception for an extra blanket, there wasn’t one available—only an old-looking and dirty blanket. The room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, with some trash left in the corners. On the bright side, they offered free sake and small snacks in the evening, which was nice. Overall, just an average hotel.

There are several problems regarding my stays:
1. There are no ramps leading into the hotel lobby. We had heavy luggages and there are only stairs. The hotel staff also did not offer help to bring it in for us.
2. Water bottles are complimentary, which are good. However, we can't get more than 2 bottle a days. This is a minus.
3. When I go out to get some lemon water in the morning, the staff did not allow me as it was breakfast time. Why keep the water inside the breakfast area, it is similar to say if I don't get breakfast, I can't get water/ coffee.
4. The surrounding are is pretty boring
5. The wifi does not work very well

Great, clean, simple but modernized hotel. In between the train station and parts of the touristy areas, so you’ll be taking the bus/public transit and walking quite a bit, but overall great location.
This is a 4-star hotel that is very busy and offers clean and comfortable rooms with nice bathrooms, that are simple but effective.

Very nice Hotel, situated very calm and close to Nishi-Honganji temple. The photos of the rooms showed me more space than there really is. I missed any chair and desk or table. There was a couch, that was not helpful to write or to work on a notebook.

Clean rooms and well maintained. There were free free refreshments and coffee in the lobby between 10 and 18. Had everything needed in the room.
Laundry was not as clean as you would expect compared to the other areas and only 3 machines and expensive.
