Close to the train station and allow to store the luggage before the check-in and after the check-out. The only drawback is the evaluator only to the 2nd level but not the ground level. Have to carry the heavy luggage to the 2nd floor.

The hotel is quite old. There is a flight of stairs from the hotel entrance to the lobby. Guests must carry their luggage up the stairs because there are no elevators or escalators from the entrance to the lobby. Beware if you have heavy luggage. There is a strong damp and moldy smell when I enter the room, especially in the closet area. I suppose this is because sunlight does not reach that area of the room and the hotel is old. Other than this, the hotel is ok.

This is a great property for exploring the surrounding neighborhoods of Shinjuku, Harajuku, and even Shibuya. Shin-okubo station is just 2 blocks away and a Don Quijote is literally next door.
The property itself is in decent condition with a single elevator and adequate amenities. It's fairly clean overall but you'll find some dust in areas if you're on the tall side. We were on an upper floor with nice city views but no ability to open the window. Note that the main entrance is on the 2nd floor and so you'll need to lug yourself and your luggage there before being able to access the elevator.
The room had neither a safe nor a microwave, but did have a fridge and even a room/fabric freshener. The water pressure was mediocre as is the internet speed - fine for browsing but with relatively high ping if you're e-gaming.
Despite the nitpicks, the place is a great value for the price in a really convenient location if all you're looking for is a place to put your bags and sleep.
