Toyoko Inn Morioka Ekimae

Extremely close to Morioka train station. The breakfast was okay, not too many options. The main area with activity is a short walk away.

The hotel was conveniently located steps away from the JR station. Morioka has no subway, so aside from the JR station, accessing other parts of the city requires walking, taxi or bus. The hotel is adjacent to many good dining options near the station, and is a 20-minute walk to Iwate Park. As for the hotel itself, I found the room pleasant, and was fortunate to be assigned a room with a view of Mt Iwate. The room was a standard size for a Japanese hotel and had the basic features. It was comfortable overall and I had no complaints. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast and it was decent. It had mostly Japanese fare which I didn't mind, but for someone used to eggs and sausages, it would be a bit disappointing. The staff were very pleasant and polite, and they made the stay extra nice. A good hotel and I would consider again if I needed to stay in Morioka again.

Excellent location right beside Morioka station. The staff was very good and the breakfast was good. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that I don't really like the machine-check in they've switched to. There are Front Desk staff standing right there watching me check in on the machine--it's very impersonal and probably a little less efficient because I didn't know the process clearly. Perhaps it'll be a little smoother in the future, but overall, seems like the machine-based check-in / out system is not really needed when the staff are right there (unless they're planning to cut staff, which would be a bad move). Overall, I'd stay there again, but in a slightly bigger room choice I think.

This hotel was well priced, had a very convenient check in using an automated system. You could get a disposable toothbrush razor comb along with facial cleaning products and tea, ice water and vending machine products in the lobby. The air conditioning was very cold which I loved. The room was very clean. And included a humidifier and tea kettle which were nice. The desk was also useful. The bed and pillows were a little too firm for me and this was the only thing I would change. It was also very quiet. The breakfast was delicious Japanese breakfast with lots of variety and different every day.

There’s plastic smell in the room. The kettle also gave off strong plastic when used. I’m sorry to have to give this comment. However, it is important to provide a ‘clean air’ environment to sleep in. Other than this, other things are as expected. I am a first time user of this hotel. Thank you!

Room was generally tidy and neat, though not as clean as it could be. Ok for quick budget stays if one is not picky.

Hotel near the bullet train station

I selected hotel with parking.but there is no parking for one box vehicle. You must have tell it earlier. So I have to paid several limes when I in and out vehicle from coin parking.

Quite a well known chain in Japan and seems to be hit and miss. Previous year stayed in a Toyoko Inn in Shikoku area and was excellent. This one in Morioka was disappointing in comparison. Arrived one hour before check in time and was given option to pay extra ¥300 on top of ¥500 parking surcharge. All spaces were free at the time so thought this could have been waived on discretion. Room very small. Breakfast not worth adding as extremely small choice and served in an area I thought was the lobby only (as soon as you walk into the hotel on right hand side is where breakfast is served. Very cramped area and in full view of other customers walking in and out). For the price paid I was disappointed overall.

いつも利用するのは、南口の方でしたが、今回はこちらに宿泊しました。最初にいつもの南口に行ってしまいました、その時のフロントの方の対応なんですが、毎回感じる事で若い女は無表情で上から目線的な対応です。 今回は、表情も柔らかく良かったです。 私個人の感じかたかもしれませんがね。

初めて利用しましたが，とっても良かったです。 また利用したいです。

駅近で便利でした

駅に近く利便性が良かった。

駅近で且つ周辺は静かコンビニも美味しいお店も付近にある。よかったです。

無料の朝食サービスが良かったですが、隣の部屋の人のいびきがすごく聞こえてきてその点だけが気になりました。

スタッフの対応がとても良かった。価格の割に朝食も充実していた。
