Friendly staff

I like their staff, very welcoming. I stick with this place when I go to tana.

A la hauteur...

The checkin process could’ve been easier if the “manager” wasn’t money hungry and lied to my face about the price per night I was being charged. She thought I wouldn’t catch it but it wasn’t my first time in Madagascar. I brought it to her attention and she lied repeatedly. She used a higher exchange rate than it was supposed to be. Blatant lies to my face and via WhatsApp. I was definitely overcharged which is what the booking site I used said as well. She tried to say my bank charged international fees which is crazy because how does she know who I bank with and their policies. That tells me she overcharges people regularly. There was no international fees. The final amount I was charged was exactly the amount she inflated. I went to the ministry of tourism and they didn’t help. They just called them and were in cahoots with them telling me I’m wrong. Numbers are numbers using exchange rates or not. I told her via WhatsApp that it’s a police issue now and suddenly the next day “accounting” corrected the problem and they gave me a refund of the difference. Aside from the blatant robbery the breakfast was subpar and I was there a week before my room was cleaned. Once I brought it to their attention they told me I had to leave the room key with them and let them know I want the room cleaned, which is odd for a hotel. They didn’t tell me that prior to checking in.

I enjoyed staying at Downtown hotel. The location is perfect, the staff are wonderful and welcoming. I recommend this place if you are traveling to tana. They serve good breakfast.

Didn’t like the area

The hotel is great for the price. It is centrally located and has a fitness center. The staff is mostly friendly and support. The area is a little sketchy after dark but not really unsafe.

The hotel and my room were great - basic and small but had everything I needed. The area was very convenient to walk to shops and restaurants. It was noisy due to street activity. Nice place, I would stay again.

The staff is very nice and polite. Although no fancy amenities, it’s still a comfortable place to stay. The location is safe and convenient.

Hadde en fantastisk opphold, selv om det var rett ved veien man hørte ingenting siden det var godt isolert. Hjelpsom ansatt og du føler deg veldig trygg. Jeg likte at man kan trene og det var en coach som hjelp til. Frokosten ble leverte på rommet hver morningen det var helt utrolig. Jeg vil gjerne kommer tilbake. Mange restaurant rundt og kort vei til sentrum .

Room was clean. WiFi worked very well. Hotel staff was cooperative, specially lady at the reception Ms. Larita was very helpful.

Votre descriptif ne correspond pas à la réalité.remonter des odeurs de la canalisation des toilettes et de la salle de bain. Literie en mauvaise état. Coupure d'eau, télévision ne fonctionne pas. Hôtel bruyant.
