A cool 5 star hotel. All the staff are very friendly, the rooms and facilities are modern. The location is very strategic. The food is also delicious and amazing. It is no wonder that it is the best hotel in Sarawak.

It was an amazing experience. I noticed the room design is all curved and child-friendly, and they've also prioritized accessibility for anyone with disabilities.

Convenient location in the heart of the city. Within walking distance to the Kuching Waterfront and the usual tourist spots. Hotel staff are generally helpful and friendly. 1 receptionist who weren't so forthcoming with making recommendations, appears a bit clueless and lacking in initiative when I asked what is there to see within walking distance around the hotel. 1 restaurant staff also failed to inform me that an item on the menu was not available and did so only after I have waited nearly 30mins for my food. I think these 2 instances are where further customer training could be enhanced further.

The Bed was comfortable. i sleep like baby everynight. i have spent a week in the hotel. Nothing to nitpick. Overall, its a good choice of hotel

What should have been a pleasant stay was marred by an incident that could have been resolved in a minute but wasn’t. I accidentally broke a drinking glass in my room. I rang for Housekeeping to come and clear the mess. It took them 30 mins. to do so, but in the meantime they rang me to say I would be charged for breaking the glass. My understanding is that hotels treat such incidents as minor and they would absorb the cost of a broken glass. Anyway, when the cleaner came to my room he was armed with a vacuum cleaner and a plastic bag. He proceed to pick up the broken glass by hand and I told him to use a brush or he could cut himself. He then left and came back with a rag and swept up the glass with it. I thought ‘Gosh, Sheraton can’t afford a brush?” I decided to mention this incident to Customer Services. I sent them 2 emails but, to date, have not received a response. On checking out I mentioned this to the receptionist and he said that it was Sheraton’s policy to charge guests for breaking glasses. I googled this but found that it was not so. Is this a policy of Kuching Sheraton only? Also, i noticed on my first stay there the concierge and his team were most welcoming, friendly and helpful,. But on this 2nd visit I noticed they only attended to VIPs and those who pulled up in Mercs or BMWs, not those in Grab Protons. I’ll think twice about staying there again.

A pleasant environment but needing a bit of extra oversight from management to improve attention to general housekeeping and service in certain areas. A new manager has just arrived who we believe will look to address these issues. Took feedback on board and keen to remedy. In a good location though. The Japanese restaurant on the penultimate floor is very good quality (albeit is independent to the hotel so take payment card).

Well located hotel which is close to the waterfront and had a great pool. It seemed to be quite business focused, which is fine as it meant there were less people in the pool (which has amazing views of the city) than would be expected if catering to couples and families. Slight downside in that I had to ask every morning for a second towel as they kept giving us only one, again maybe because of the business focus. Breakfast was very good and staff very attentive.

Good location and services. It was a great surprise that there was no balsamic/vinegar in the salad area (even I have requested twice), although many salad creams. It is a common knowledge that olive oil and balsamic/vinegar must be offered for salad. In addition, it is also a common knowledge now that salad creams are not healthy. Therefore must provide olive oil and vinegar for salad. Maybe the cooks need to be updated in catering knowledge.

Would have given it a 5 star rating as I was very impressed initially with the service, room condition, etc. As I stayed on then i realised there are a number of issues. Though it is a less than a year old the hotel has certain areas barricaded due to repairs? or structure not completed? Phone line for the whole hotel was completely out of service from 12 - 13 July. Then I discovered that amongst the 3 rooms we (friends) stayed in and we all booked the same Superior rooms, my room and another friend's were on the 7 and 5 levels. The other friend was on level 10 with better view. To add insult to injury, his room has a coffee making machine. Room service was also another issue. Bath towels not replaced though left on the floor, found them hanging up again, face towels were absent and even floor mat/towel was missing. Even tea packets were not replaced even though container was empty. All these happened on different occasions. Seriously we (all of us) had decided we would not stay here on our next return. We had stayed in other so-called not 5 star hotels in Kuching but as bad as this.
