Fantastic Experience at Intercontinental Malta
Our family visited Malta in August 2024, and our stay at the Intercontinental Malta was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the impeccable service. Special thanks to Elsa at reception and Katerina Angelkovska, the Guest Experience Manager, for their personalized and efficient attention.
Our 42m² room was spacious and comfortable, with stunning views of the sea and gardens. The amenities were top-notch, including slippers, bathrobes, and an excellent bathroom. Santa, who took care of our room, made our stay even more enjoyable with her outstanding service. Bolong, who looked after our children's room, was equally attentive and ensured everything was perfect for them.
The hotel facilities are luxurious: multiple pools, including a rooftop one, a full-service spa, and a private beach. Breakfast was a highlight, with excellent service and a wide variety of options.
The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to Malta's attractions and vibrant nightlife. We had a small issue with the bed configuration in our children's room, but the staff quickly resolved it, even with the hotel fully booked.
We highly recommend Intercontinental Malta for a memorable stay. Our family loved every moment!

A smart hotel in an area with a lot of building work going on. It is also very close to a nightlife area that could be noisy. However if you get a "garden view" room, this overlooks a very large central garden and noise is not a problem.
Breakfast is very good (although some of the hot dishes could dobwith being warmer) with a massive selection. Best hot option is the on demand kitchen dong eggs benedict; omelettes; and poached eggs.

Unfortunately the building works opposite we’re relentless,from 8am until 6pm everyday accept Sunday.Head phones whilst sunbathing are a must and the rooftop pool was beyond cold,temperatures said it was 23degrees but it literally felt like it was minus 1 and there was no one going in only the very brave who quickly got out as quickly as they had entered.

My room contained high levels of mold verified by the housekeeping Manager. industrial strength cleaner was used as well which made me ill and almost triggered an epileptic seizure. Several calls were made while I waited on the balcony > 3hours. The client service manager arrived to upgrade my room, saying straight to my face "I told my crew after talking to my crew, "we gotta do something with this guy" he is really sick. As you can imagine my stay "as the guy" was less than uncomfortable. Corporate intervention and re-training is in order here.

We only had one issue with the air conditioning in the room, which Francoise dealt with by finding us another room (thanks again) and was followed up with a courtesy call from Guest services. There is a lot of building work going on in the area so the picture of the pool on the 10th floor doesn't show the buildings now overlooking it. The area is very lively but the soundproofing on the rooms meant we weren't disturbed. The staff in the Opal lounge restaurant on floor 7 were very friendly & attentative and the food was lovely. A special thanks to head chef Claudio for his assistance with my unusual request for the local Pastizzi - Grazzi Hafna! Overall a very enjoyable stay. Only downside was parking and traffic in the local area if you are thinking of driving.

The hotel was good it was standard hotel room imo.the area around was dirty, trashy building site. The beach was really small with loads of cigarette butts. The restaurants were all disappointing. It would have been great if we were 20yo and there to get pissed up every night.

Amazing hotel, we were really looked after by staff who were always attentive.
Breakfast options were plenty and really pleasant to have breakfast in the main restaurant,
Room was clean, spacious and comfortable and cleaned daily, water was topped up and the welcome gifts were an added touch. Fridge was available so we could put bottled water in to keep cool for when we went to the gym.
Pool was very big, quieter in the mornings and if you want a bed by the pool you need to go down before 10.30 otherwise there are plenty of beds further away.
Ample gym equipment to use for guests and an indoor pool which seemed to be really popular. Also had an amazing treatment at the hotel spa.
Absolutely no complaints and can’t wait to stay again.

I cannot fault the staff who were absolutely fabulous, there are a few tiny things, but the overall experience is absolutely amazing. The main pool is great with plenty of staff serving pool snacks. Upgrade to include the Opal Lounge, makes the experience so positive, breakfast every morning and then afternoon tea is worthwhile. The resort is great with plenty of food options, especially for a family, well for what we wanted.
